What idiot ever claimed he was cheap? He is just stubborn. Bickerstaff meant the team wasn't going to compete after firing McHale. But why? It's so horrible to watch.
I think it's well established that Les is one of the poorer owners in the league. As a percentage, $500k is WAY more than what regular folk donate in a month
Well, his net worth is $1.54 billion. So $500k is 1 / 3,080 of his $1.54 billion. If someone has a net worth of $500k, then 1 / 3,080 of that $500k would be $162. So $500,000 to Leslie Alexander is the same percentage of his net worth as $162 would be to someone with a net worth of $500,000. Having said that, $500,000 is a very generous amount to donate no matter how much you're worth. Remember, it's just one cause he's donating to. I'm sure he donates to many different causes.
He also voted against ads on NBA uniforms and is paying McHale to sit on his ass, but hey, Le$ is cheap. #bLESsed
But didn't he vote against it because he wants a more lucrative way? Not because he's against ads on uniforms? He wants Chinese ads and the proposed deal he voted against wouldn't allow it (I think).
DD is the one always b****in about Les being cheap... which is unfounded imo... the guy is more than willing to spend money - he just isn't willing to waste money on mediocre players so we can retain the likes of Patrick Patterson or the like.... The whole coaching debacle this year is worthy of b****in about ownership/mgmt... but cheap? nah... that's just DD complaining as usual....
