Harriet Tubman is America’s choice to be the new face on the $20 bill

There is something wrong - she needs to look more like an angry black woman.

Can't wait for the racists to swear off using the $20 bill forever because of this.

 

interesting that hamilton, a staunch backer of central banking, kept his spot on the $10 bill. while jackson of course, is alleged to have said stuff like this:

 

I don't mind having Presidents on our money, I think so much of our narrative is based on our philosophy, formation, preservation and later military and diplomatic prominence that we can define this country by its leaders. Separately I think our currency is an iconic enough symbol of our economic system that I don't sense any need to change the faces on them.

 

I know some of it is for security, but I don't get the fascination with redesigning currency. Pick a design and leave it. Having 50+ different versions of the same piece of currency is confusing.

 

They should replace Tubman with Chyna

 

It can help staying ahead of counterfeiting.

The people on our currency were out there for a reason, they were great men. Our nation wouldn't be here today or it certainly wouldn't be what it is today without them. The same cannot be said for any of these replacements.

You know they have the denomination printed in big ass numbers on them, right?

 

Would you put Hitler on the German currency? The trail of tears is pretty much like the Native American holocaust.

 

Yeah, 50 is too many for paper vs the quarter. It would confuse the people taking the cash for payment...thus maybe making counterfeiting easier.

However, changing it every 5 or 10 years wouldn't cause that confusion...would improve counterfeiting prevention,,,and allows us to honor more historical figures.

It's no wonder they chose the $20 bill, since it is the most counterfeited bill there is. Harriet is probably the first in a line of changes,,,every few years.

Nature is savage bro. Force is always going to will out. It's illogical to sit here on a computer and judge history through a modern lens. If you wanted something you had to take it by force.

Edit: Apples to oranges. Multiculturalism is being pushed in white countries. So the agenda to put Hitler on germany's currency isn't there, but to put a non-white female on a bill fits perfectly here. Importance to Countries foundation be damned.
