I do not think that will work. You have to vote for your pledge candidate on first ballot, if you are not there someone else will vote for you. The question is can Trump get enough of the votes from other candidates that dropped out earlier like Bush, Christie , etc. Even if he does not get the nomination, I am pretty sure he will run as third party candidate just to piss off the Republican party.
I don't think it will happen but it would be awesome. The least funny politician and the most funny politician on one ticket. They could run awesome routines together, given how stiff she is. It would be like Smothers Bros. on steroids.
That's not how it works. You have to vote for the candidate you are pledged to, if you aren't there, you don't vote and no one can vote for you. It's a sneaky way of doing things, but to prevent catastrophe, it's worth it.
For storing classified information like it was Bigtexxx's online hooker rolodex. I would assume a typical federal worker would in fact go to prison for making such idiotic decisions.
In prison for what? I keep reading similar crap (with all due respect) here and it pains me to see it. Why? Because the Republican Party has tried to vilify and/or jail Hillary Clinton for over 20 years and failed. Failed, yet people like you keep posting that garbage because I guess it must feel good. That's a sad comment on Sanders supporters who have no sense of balance when it comes to this topic, this election. Your "guy" is the "greatest" possible fellow to lead this country, so anything goes, right? So prove it. Go ahead. Do what the GOP has failed to do, despite trying a hell of a lot longer and harder and far more well funded than Sanders supporters like you and the Sanders campaign have managed, now that the Sanders campaign has gone negative, a huge mistake, in my humble opinion. Look, I know your a nice guy under ordinary circumstances, so I don't enjoy posting something like this, but it gets tiresome reading it, and I've seen far worse from others.
Multiple counts of mishandling classified information along with ordering others to do the same. Personally I think probation would suffice, but a "normal person" would be looking at serious prison time if they did what she did.
For the republican national committee, sure, but for the delegate from District 3 in Wyoming, is that rationalization really what is driving his decision-making? Doubtful. Of course, Priebus or whomever can give a speech at the convention and say, "Don't vote for Trump because Trump is unelectable and will cause us down-ballot defeats." And, maybe that can be persuasive, but I still think delegates would sooner go to Cruz -- who has the legitimacy of 6+ million votes in his pocket -- than to a non-candidate with zero votes and zero pledged delegates. So, is Priebus going to give his speech urging delegates to not vote for Trump AND not vote for Cruz either? They'd look more ridiculous than they do now. I'm feeling pretty confident that the nominee is going to be Cruz in the end, and the second likeliest is Trump. Doubt anyone else can get it. Lord, help us.
If Trump wins Pennsylvania, another large state, and with some delegates here and there from others in the future, he'll come to the convention with a delegate majority and the most votes (by my rough calculation sitting here in front of my display). I just have a hard time imagining that they (the powers that be) will prevent him from getting the nomination. And yeah, god help us if it is either Trump or Cruz.
LOL, yeah that nerd/lawyer made her break the law. Should be a fun defense to hear in court. She knew the law, she just didn't care. Now maybe she did it for convenience, maybe she did it to avoid FOIA requests, doesn't really matter. She mishandled classified information and instructed others to break the law by removing classification from documents and sending them to her via unclassified means.....that's illegal, she knew it was illegal.
I'm hoping Trump wins an outright majority or somehow gets the candidacy. As much as I hate Hillary Clinton, she now looks like the least of remaining evils. And down-ballot defeats for the Republicans sounds good to me. But, most importantly, I fear Cruz can actually win in the general and I don't think he'd do good things as president.
Can any democrats here explain the appeal to me of Hillary over Bernie? Just curious where the "heart" (i.e., HRC supporters) of the Democratic Party stands these days and why they seem to hate the guy so much.
For some reason, we can't manage to sustain a conversation about Clinton over a long period of time like we can for Trump, Bernie, and even Cruz. But, here is the most recent attempt to get answers to your question: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=273738
I'm not just a Bernie Sanders supporter I liked Bill Clinton as a president. They both soured on me considerably with how they ran against Obama 8 years ago. For me it's rather simple. I like Mrs. Clinton more than the vast majority of Republicans. But I don't think she is a good person. And what she did with the email servers was not competent in the least. It makes absolutely NO sense that 4 of the last 5 presidents should come from 2 families. What are the odds that would have to happen to have the best qualified people come from only 2 families. Well it is not possible and it's group of people that are trying to get power and hold on to power and, not make this country and the world a better place. But just to maintain status quo.
I don't believe for a second that our election process brings about candidates who are even top 50 best qualified to run the country on ANY given election year. What family they come from doesn't mean squat from that standpoint.
First, I don't think it would ever come to court, but you know some underling will take responsibility. I don't think Ms. Clinton would be expected by anyone to understand the intricacies and implications of email servers without the advice of counsel and technical experts. And you would have to prove 'intent' . That's tough in the first place and an easy reasonable doubt for the defense. I think the GOP will save that one for the first impeachment proceeding, starting about January 23.
