I thought it was Nacho, too, but you make an excellent point.

At this point in time, I'm wondering if the whole series will be Jimmy pre-Saul. Surely that can't happen, right?

IMO Chuck is a dick. His ****tiness towards Jimmy is one of the things (if not THE thing) preventing Jimmy from bettering himself. I don't care about Chuck. I care about Jimmy (and Kim and Mike).

Plus there have been a few shows where people people want the "bad" main character to succeed. The Sopranos might have started that.

Lots of people pointed it out before you..

Not sure people think it's "wrong" as much as, it's being a dick to one's brother. And not many people empathize with purposely harming family longterm. (Jimmy explained what he did--he thought it would be a 1-time blip for Chuck in the name of fixing a 'wrong')

My interest in the Mike scene is Nacho's story. I like the idea of him being involved in the "Don't" somehow, and it's even a better story arc (imo), if Gus is also involved,,,thus, Nacho knows Gus.

The "Don't" doesn't work without Nacho blocking the shot ... Hector would be dead right now.

It's great for TV drama to let Mike get that close, but the only reasons I can see allowing that vs stopping him prior to getting the look is if you don't want to reveal yourself or are worried Mike will take you out. That's what leads me to believe Nacho's block indicates he warned someone (Gus) about Mike going rogue, and helped protect Nacho...or simply hired someone to tail him who wasn't being paid to confront Mike earlier before the shot. (Jimmy? :) )

Without Nacho tipping off someone, that indicates Gus is always watching Nacho...and it would be coincidence they catch Mike. Could be...but misses an opportunity to cross Nacho's story with Gus.

Again, I'm just trying to fit in Nacho with that scene. I'm as interested in him as I am the backstory of how Mike meets Gus.

Supposedly the letters from all the episodes this season can be arranged to say "frings back" i read somewhere. Easter egg from Gilligan. Def Gus! But how can Nacho blocking him be a coincidence?

Btw: is the guy they shot the driver in the heist? So, that indicates their investigation of the heist is concluded?

LOL, the Commodore's comically reactionary hard-on for rich/powerful/dickbags over sympathetic figures or things that people just generally "like" or think is smart, like:

    Grantland; or

    people molested by Josh Duggar
    ; or

college athletes getting screwed by the NCAA

or Pope Francis or any number of other phenomena

extends to the fictional universe of Better call Saul - funny shyte.

War on empathy continues! Never change bro.

Y'all are debating weird stuff. There's no rule that says you have to root for the good guy or that there's always a good and bad guy.

A Marxist holds the view that whomever is more powerful is in the wrong, no matter the circumstance.

Theft, fraud, lying; none of it matters because Chuck is rich, powerful and a "dick".

I think it's Gus, too. Best way to introduce him.

But just now thought of someone else for fun.

Imagine the story if Nacho called Jimmy to tail Mike. They all three know each other in a relationship triangle. Jimmy owes Nacho big time. A simple "Don't" is something Jimmy would say. Jimmy would also have interest in not letting Mike know it was him. Him not wanting Mike to know, also explains why Nacho still has to block the shot, as it's pretty risky to even let Mike get a look. Why would Gus even allow Mike to get that close? He'd have a man stop Mike before getting the look...using the common "Sneak up behind the sniper and put a pistol to his head" interruption.

    Jimmy, anyone? :)

A moron holds the view that a discussion of Marxism is in any way contextually relevant here.

Anyone else realizing that Jimmy used that guy he knows who gives people new identities to become Saul after he loses his licence for committing fraud?

Don't you think someone would notice that Saul = Jimmy? I mean, he didn't exactly keep a low profile. Someone would point it out, which would lead to Saul getting disbarred.

Lol gets a new identity then stays in the same city where his brother and many other people that know him practice the same profession... Yeah I don't think so. Changing from Jimmy to Saul is going to be a choice not a necessity.

Do you think he's fit to practice law?

I think him mis-representing (or hiding) his condition to the client is wrong.

Jimmy is not the type to stay out of sight and mastermind things from afar.... if it was him, he would have found Mike and talked about it in person.

Its clearly Gus... and Nacho is probably affiliated with him somehow.

Be prepared for a long boring lecture on how professional licensing requirements are basically the same as slavery.
