I'd really like to know what the umps are hearing in the headsets. Are they put on hold, and they get elevator music? Do they hear the guys on the other end just endlessly heckle them, "how could you miss that call live, you dumb ****??" They should make that audio public.
those 2, moran, and devenski getting an opportunity to start, in addition to anybody besides castro catching are all moves i'd like to see in the immediate future.
Dev just came in with 0 outs and runners on the corners, picked the guy off first, got a groundball, and made Fielder fly out. Incredible.
Devenski is a quality early season find... even though it requires failure from the other guys with expectations (Feliz/Fields), he's going to pay some major dividends for the rest of the year if he can keep this up. One silver lining from early-season struggles, I suppose.
