Nobody is going to remember this series by this time next week, let alone when free agency kicks off.

The greatest Free Agent coup of the century was staged by a team (also featuring Beasley!) that got waxed in the first round the year before.

Second greatest was by a horrific lottery team that ran itself into the ground for 4 years.

If you want to get rid of the stink, you need to get rid of everybody, including Morey, who is not exactly popular among his peers.

Morey is an excellent numbers game. Talent evaluator, he is at best average, some hits and some horrible misses (e.g. Dorsey instwas of D. Jordan, Morris instead of Leonard, etc...).

The decisions that Les and Morey have made make the Rockets look clueless. Firing a coach eleven games into a season. A GM that acquires players that don't fit the system that he demands the coaches use. It's a train wreck and Les and Morey look completely inept. The top free agents usually have several options to choose from. Les and Morey have definitely hurt our chances to reel in a big name this summer.

I don't know. That's kind of like having rainman as your real estate agent. You detect there might be problems early on when he gets very upset in the first meeting when your dog greets him.

But you decide that for him to really learn about being a real estate agent, you need him to go through something potentially stressful, so you don't fire him. You keep him as your agent and try to have him sell your house.

During the second open house, as unexpected people walk in and walk into various rooms at random, he curls into a screaming fetal ball and you get no bids on your house.

Series not over yet, but based on the first two games I don't see how any FA can look at this team and say, those are some guys I'd really like to play with.

I can't believe people think it will cost us free agents.

Any team with a core amount of talent that top free agents go to will be an instant contender. All you have to do is fix the coaching to make this an attractive place to go.

IMO unless it's Durant, I don't give a **** about free agents. I want a team that's built not bought

The best part of this season is this vine of Harden dancing and the eye roll gif. Thanks for the meme worthy year. I hope this year is an anomaly and we finally get back to a year with better things than a few online laughs starting Monday. I think hiring Thibs will do wonders in free agency for us. He is a winner and is a Team USA staple.

Nobody wants to come to the Rockets anyway...unless they have no other options out there.

    Lol no.

Players care about money and opportunity. Not always in that order.

We look like a joke of a team that nobody would want to join if one is interested in winning. Other teams have money. Why join a bad team?

Rockets will land some free agents, I'm sure. The Durants and Horford's of the crop, though? lmao

    What other teams exactly?

Knicks? Lakers? Wizards? These are better situations than Houston?

Remember, the Rockets will have TWO max contracts and a new coach.

Jazz didn't even make the playoffs and have no all-stars on their team. Also, when is the last time anyone willingly played for the Jazz?

Mavs are a team whose best player may be retiring in a season or two.

Raptors have their own FAs to retain.

Magic another young team. Why would Durant for instance go there to help a team build into a contender?

The Rockets situation is better than all of these other teams simply because they have an elite player. I know you may think not, but players and coaches have a lot more respect for Harden then fans do clearly.

How many of those teams could have a legit big 3? Houston has Harden and room for KD plus an extra max FA, who else offers that?

People need to get more realistic and stop being overly emotional and overreacting to a playoff loss that everyone knew would happen.

as long as howard moves on then there is a chance they can get another free agent to come if they get the right head coach

A lot can happen before FA. If the Rockets can get a top flight coach and make some personnel moves early this summer that can go a long way towards being a positive.

Forgot the Blazers, yes they will be players. I could see Horford going there, Conley obviously no. Durant, who knows.

But if the Clippers dominate the Blazers aren't they in the same situation as us? Except that Harden is better than Lillard and known best pals with Durant?

Rockets will have a strong sell this offseason. The offer of a big three AND a new coach. I doubt anyone that signs will be thinking about the 2015-16 Rockets.
