Why the hell did we get rid of Isaiah Canaan again?

Dude was a solid defensive PG as well as a lights out 3 point shooter. After Howard grabbed his nuts on live TV he was traded shortly thereafter. What the hell happened there? He was clearly one of our better players on the roster last year, and was treated poorly by both Mchale and Howard. Anyone know any background on what led to him getting dealt?

We could really use him right now.

We got KJ though, stupid JBB won't play him enough to justify the trade.

He sucks and lost the starting job to Ish Smith.

Plays zero D and can't penetrate

He's shooting 36% from 3, wow so impressive

so he can rot on the bench while brewer and terry hinder his development for the duration of his contract, thus ensuring he has absolutely no chance to go back to the nba when his contract is up.

    a1 plan from an a1 man. a man with a plan. a man, a plan, r****ded.

Gave away Marcus Morris for a 2nd round pick(Isaiah Canaan).
Gave away Isaiah Canaan for Kevin McDaniels.
Who will they give away Kevin McDaniels for?

LOL. One of DDs other accounts. I think he was the only one thought Cannon was any good.

After he healed from his ankle, McHale refused to play him.

holic hyped him up the most. I liked what Canaan was doing here, esp. next to Harden. holic was convincing me he could penetrate and get to the line. I think Canaan did do that in the D League some. He does not have that ability at the NBA level though. Seems like he's had enough time to prove he can if he can. His D was OK here, but it has not been very good in Philly, according to stats alone. Still seems better than Terry.

Did having KJ last year help us in re-signing him at all? Otherwise, very perplexing deal.

The Rockets played well when Canaan went out. The Rockets were on a roll and Terry was shooting the three ball better than Canaan. So, I can see why he wasn't inserted into the lineup.

In fairness, trading Morris's salary out for a pick (Canaan) who counted $0 against the cap in the summer of 2013 was a necessary part of getting Dwight Howard in free agency. Same reason why Patterson/Robinson had to be traded out.
