Thank god, people are talking like the 11th was the finale. I was like really Chuck falling down is it? I am REALLY hpping some big bangs happen to move the story. But the way this season is, the final scene will be probably intro gus and then cut off to black ...
OK.... thanks for the geography lesson. Just saying that is what the show-runners intended his character to be (and we all know Giancarlo Esposito is neither chilean nor is he really a drug lord). Way too many people looking into demographics of possible South American's of african descent who live in Albuquerque (as if this was a reality show), along with reading too much into "Ernesto's" heritage and possible lineage (again, based on an actors appearance).
Writers were the ones that named him Ernesto, not the actor. If character had a non-Spanish name nobody would be questioning the Gus connection based on his looks
We are watching a show that has included a 15 minute scene of Jimmy flipping a light switch simply for character development and you think some people are reading too much into the ethnicity of a black guy with a Hispanic-sounding name? I think it's fair for some people to speculate.
Yes, I do... especially when they think he's automatically related to the other guy with a hispanic sounding name. Mike's last name is Ehrmantraut... yeah, he must be related to that German company that was a front for Gus' drug empire. Speculate away!
Not everything is so for a reason... They seem to cover the spectrum of all sorts of names: the bland ones (Walter White, Howard Hamlin), the more unique ones (Jessie Pinkman, Kim Wexler, Hank Schrader), to the ethnic ones.
Count me as one who is tired of hearing people b**** about being b****ed about. Person A says "I think the show's great!" Person B says, "I think it's slow." Person A says, "Oh, you're wrong." Person B says "What, I can't express an opinion???" See the faulty logic there? People need to stop with the constant meta-b****ing. You state an opinion, people can disagree with it. No one's saying you can't have a negative opinion, so please people stop with the martyrdom whining. People can either comment on the show itself or on other people's comments. Silly to argue that it can only be one.
Clearly the prequel wants to follow a different, not so explosive formula (people want it to be bb). Even at the pace its going, the show is still better then a lot of shows. Im just happy the world of bb isnt done, that alone is reason enough to watch it.
Only reason b****es b****ing about b****ing on other b****es thoughts is because b****es started being all aggressive when we're just trying to have a conversation. b****.
My b****ing isn't about him b****ing period, it's about the reason of his b****ing.... 'you're' complaining about a slow season of a show that is meant to be a slow and methodical transformation of one man into something pretty evil and twisted. I don't expect any of these episodes to come out guns-a-blazing ala Breaking Bad. That's my beef with his argument. Figure out what you're b****ing about, before you b**** about my b****ing of his b****ing. b****!
Is this thread still about Better Call Saul? Great show. I like it. Some episodes are better than other episodes. But still a great show.
