Rockets need to get spanked again

    He doesn't get it yet. He thinks it was just a random game and they can come back and challenge this team. What really happened was the Rockets came out thinking they could play lackadaisical and compete with a champion and the best regular season team in history.

    Best thing to happen is for the Warriors to beat us even worse tomorrow. I rather Harden get it in his head that losing like this isn't just one game, it's a complete team failure that is going to require soul-searching and a different attitude that starts with him.

    Instead he brushes it off like a regular season game. We're not going to win this series, so to me the biggest value is Harden realizing the problem is the the way he operates from top to bottom - his approach to games, his approach to THE GAME, the way his foster's chemistry, his leadership, his ability to do what it takes on and off the court and putting that above everything else.

    Unless he is already satisfied with what he has and just lacks a real commitment to be a champion.

    Wait for aeliott and the rest of the stat crew to come in and post TS% and other stats catering to the mean (beating up on bad defensive teams/ garbage time/ baiting defenders into FTs to make up for his FG%). This guy is a GREAT 3rd banana. If he's your 1st banana, you're ****ed.

    What is he supposed to say to the media ? This is an example of a player saying the low risk , politically correct answer . What did you really want him to say , " we got our asses kicked and have no hope . The rest of the series is already over . I'm a ****ty player and can't lead a team ."

    He needs to say that they were obviously not ready for this caliber of an opponent and if they don't find a way to put it together they are in big trouble.

    He needs to say it's time to put the frustrations, the bickering, and hard feelings behind and make every minute count.

    He needs to say that the first half has to be a wake up call and it was a blown opportunity. That you don't get chances to lay it out there and prove who you are as a group very often, and that it would be a waste to go to the playoffs if you don't show-up.

    They didn't show up, and it's on him to be the leader to recognize that.

    I don't mind, seeing my team or any other team getting "spanked" if it is deserved, as long as the refs call it fair both ways.

    They need to have free popcorn upon entry to the Toyota Center when the Rockets return home to play the Warriors. When the refs call the game favorably for the Warriors, everyone can heave popcorn on the floor for a critical call and cause a delay. Sounds like a plan.
