I agree for now Jake should be getting more time. His bat is not all that but Gomez is hurting the team in all phases right now (bat, lackadaisical fielding and base running)

Marisnick gets one infield hit, and people act like he's Mike Trout.

The Astros traded for Gomez for a reason. Marisnick was putting up pitcher like production for most of last season. The black hole of him and Castro were a big part of our mid season struggles.

This is getting ridiculous. Should we call up Vincent Velazquez?

Well, considering their bats are about equal right now, I'll take the better center fielder and the better base runner.

Jake made a lot of things happen on the base paths last year and he started the year off pretty hot at the plate before diving off a cliff. So yeah, I'd rather see him out there than NoGo.

This should be Fiers last inning. Would be dumb to send him back out there.

was actually breathing easy for a second. Now...nope! NO lead is safe until the end of the 9th. Clearly.

I think the lead had him relaxed. Based on his pitch count, I'd consider sending him out for the 6th...first sign of trouble I'd pull him. Not sure we want to go to the bullpen just yet...

Devenski is kind of a long man. At the first sign of trouble I would put him in there next inning.

Sipp, Harris, Gregerson all rested. Giles likely available as well (and I'd rather get him more consistent appearances as is).

Hinch shouldn't hesitate to use the pen today. Lets get some more runs first though.
