Normally like your post but chill Deb. Brewer offers nothing to this squad.

So what you're saying is that the $10 bet you placed (lost :( ) on a championship isn't all on Brewer's poor performance? Unfortunately he isn't helping either. For example.. JBB is probably the bigger issue since his rotations continue to give him minutes.

Spotlight is running with this one. It goes all the way up to the White House.

How can the team depend on Beasley to be the #2 scorer on the squad, and give him ONLY 5 MINs IN The playoffs?

I guarantee that if BEASLEY was allowed to play 26 mins, he'd have double digit REBOUNDS & PTs.

We NEVER RELIED ON C. BREWERS "PLAY-MAKING" abilities to win us a game this entire season, no need to start now.

They left brew open some plays because they knew that he's been struggling with the 3

Brewer's terrible, but the idea that the Rockets lost because of him or because he started is silly. The Rockets don't have a personnel grouping that can beat the Warriors over a full game. Sure, Brewer played a bad game, but so did Harden, Howard, Beverley, etc. They can't match up. Beasley can't match up either, as his defense is terrible and his offense is hardly world-beating...the idea that he'll "make Draymond Green work" is fantasy.

Yes, they don't match up well - so why would you weaken your chances by putting in perhaps the worst player on your roster.

Corey Brewer is worse than Ryan Bowen.

At this point, it really doesn't matter who they put in. I agree that Brewer should play the least minutes, but acting like he had much, if anything, to do with this loss is just scapegoating. You could have re-apportioned his minutes to any other player who wasn't on the floor at the same time and the result would have been the same.

The problem is not so much that Bickerstaff played Brewer (though, yes, that's never an awesome idea) but rather that they don't have a lot of better options. They have one star in Harden, a declining okay player in Howard, a couple of good role-players and then roster filler. Playing Beasley more or whatever is just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

Yes, yesterday, Brewer wasn't the difference. But there will be a game or two (maybe more) where the team will play well, and starting Brewer and playing him a ton will cost us.

Everybody should chill a little with these apocalyptic predictions. This is the NBA playoffs. Anybody who has watched the NBA for a number of years knows there usually isn't carryover from one game to the next. Having a 30 point blowout one game does not mean the next game won't be close.

Funny, I don't hear the fat lady singing yet, so my $10 bet could still bring me 2 grand. Go Rockets!
