Another HR for Reed tonight. Early still, but he is showing no signs of having trouble with AAA pitching, not that it was expected he would.

nice vid...Bregman is looking like the real deal. Thank god. He might not be Correa good, but I'd have a heart attack and we botched our last high end draft pick for a while.
The thing I really like is that when the top guys do what they're expected to do, any of the other guys doing well is just gravy. If Cameron/Tucker live up to their draft pedigree as first year pros in full-season ball, great. If not, oh well they're years away anyway and the closer guys are crushing it.
Bregman hit 4 HR in 66 games across A and A+ last year. He's got 4 already in 8 games in AA. Weirdly, no other XBH yet, but I'm sure that will change.
Yep wouldn't hurt my feelings at all to see Reed and Moran brought up asap. Fisher and Kemp have played great as well.
Alex Bregman has recorded a hit in every game this season. His 2 hits tonight both resulted in RBIs; he had a double in the 6th and a single in the 7th, and Corpus Christi came from behind to complete the sweep over Tulsa with a 5-4 win. Francis Martes: 4 IP, 4 H, 3 ER (all on a 3-run homer), 4 BB, 8 K
Good to see Bregman hitting home runs. Everyone knew he had great raw power for someone his size and had a quick bat with plenty of bat speed. The question was whether those tools would translate into actual home runs because of his extremely flat swing plane. His home runs have been absolute bombs though.
Great to see the young potential... multiple players!! Reed is facing the same situation Correa did last year. He won't be called up until after the FA eligibility threshold has passed. #june
Super 2 status is why teams usually wait until June/July. Same years of control, just more dollars they earn. Of course, Correa hadn't played above A+ before last season and was coming off a broken leg.
Hasn't everyone said Super 2 will be irrelevant based on the new agreement by the time it impacts Reed's status?
Not only that, but there's a chance now that Correa may have been called up too early... and would be eligible for the super-2 arbitration (if its still in place by that point). Reed could very well get the Springer treatment... call up at the first possible chance once the free agency year deadline has been passed (especially if there is still inconsistent lineup production).
