James Harden shot 0 free throws today breaking his streak of 148 straight games with a FT

Harden is a broken man right now. He has no hope, I don't blame him either, you've got Corey Brewer starting, who hasn't hit a three since the dinosaurs went extinct. The one guy who can get buckets can't even see the floor. I'd be pretty defeated as well

 

It's the same story we've been seeing with Harden in the playoffs. All of the calls he gets during the regular season are non-existent in the playoffs. It was evident when he picked up his 4th foul. I forgot who it was, but he was driving in the lane, he initiated the contact and got his arm wrapped up with the defender's arm. You may say it was the right call, but that's not how they were calling that play the WHOLE regular season.

Refs need to be more consistent, as well as Harden should know by now he won't get those calls in the playoffs.

 

And its like no one csm really say anything about the coach, like there scared to throw him under the bus because he is the interim and was put in a difficult position, but goodness the coaching is so bad. Enough is enough already.

 

Its no secret refs swallow their whistle when the playoffs start, but this is 3yrs straight that Harden disappears when he isn't parading to the foul line 10 plus times a game.

 

Also Corey Brewer's fault.

Harden needs to stop the gimmicks and just play ball. Players will foul him so no need to look for it. The need to get the FT line is why most people hate him and I agree.

 

He's a p***y come playoff times. He folds when it gets physical.

 

4 to blame - jb, corey, the refs, and harden. sometimes he gets into these deep mental r****dation phases. ****in weird. further proving my point he cant be the first option for a contender. durant or bron would never let it get that bad.

 

It was very disappointing to see Harden not being to finish around the basket, or get to the FT line. He should try to make some mid range shots, that will make it easier for him to make some 3 pointers. He also needs to drive relentlessly, when there is an opening.

Running the P and R with Dwight, and passing the ball to D-Mo in the front court is also important. Team and individual defense should always come first though.

James is talented, overcoming the mental challenge is the most important thing. Last year, he played great against the very same GSW team.

 

Maybe he should stop being a freethrow hungry scrub and learn how to actually score the basketball

 

Harden was 7 for 19 with 17 points a day 3 of 5 from three. He was definitely attacking warriors just no calls. The worse was his 4th foul in the first half and the "strip" by Curry, where he grabbed Harden aND reached across the body. They called Beverly for a foul stripping Barbosa like that. That's why Curry hurt his ankle on that play and I hope he's out for the series (but next game will be fine

That surprised me. I couldn't watch the game due to MS150 but I looked at the box score and the Bev-Curry scrum. Howard outperforming Harden for the 3rd straight year in the playoffs was no surprise but seriously not ONE trip to the line? Sorry not sorry, but that's on Harden. That's pathetic lack of aggressiveness.

 

Clutchfans loves the "tough" 90s where allegedly they allow rougher basketball and call less fouls because curry would suck. So a game happens where apparently they call less fouls and allow more contact, harden gets no free throws and now people complain about the refs. So I guess harden would suck in the 90s since he wouldn't get any calls like in game 1.

 

Harden was at another level last year but when he lost the MVP voting to Curry he felt like like he lost the world. Then Curry was going to another level this year and most of the media was on Curry, Harden lost that urge. Playing Curry in the playoffs and seeing a difference in skill level probably plays on Harden psyche...

Will Harden mature enough to be a leader on this team or pretend to carry the weight of the world every game?
