1. Green is always the first guy back on our fast breaks and we messed up so many fast breaks because of him. Whoever he is guarding has to make him be under the basket and not around the 3. 2. Start moving on screens just like they do, the refs are forced to either let it go both ways or call it both ways. Otherwise the whole world will see what the media doesn't admit. 3. Kj is the first man off the bench. He guards Livingston and Klay/Iggy. Coach gives him the green light to attack and shoot to gain confidence in his offense. 4. Try zone to start the game. Warriors feed off the crowd and like to jump early on teams. This will force a different look and hopefully we can be close. 5. The warriors unit when Curry and Green are out is not that good offensively as we saw in the slight comeback, this is when we go small and push the tempo, otherwise, slow it down and play inside out. 6. No isos. Warriors are too good defensively to be playing Harden isos. Harden should be coming off screens , double screens so he can get open shots. 7. Forget the offensive board except Dwight. Warriors thrive on fast break points. Going after the rebound after we put up a shot lets them break out and get easy buckets. Shot goes up, everyone gets back on defense, slow the pace, Howard goes for offensive boards. 8. Beasley and howard pick and roll. Green did not let Beas get into a rythm, guarded him very well. By picking, this will force a switch, where Beas can do work over their big.
How about just NOT THIS: <a href='http://postimg.org/image/mz4ltme63/' target='_blank'><img src='http://s9.postimg.org/mz4ltme63/tysir.jpg' border='0' alt="tysir" /></a>
Why the fucc would we play zone against a team that shoots the three this well? Zone stops paint penetration, they will just shoot us out of the zone...
1. Make shots 2. Don't worry about offensive rebounding you need to make sure you get back in transistion and make them beat you 5 on 5. Curry and Thompson get a ton of wide open 3's in transition and if you do this you might keep them from going bonkers on you and keeping the game close. 3. Take care of the ****ing ball you cannot have 20 plus turnovers and beat the Warriors you are giving them too many chances in transition and you cannot outscore them. The turnovers that are especially killers are the foul line extended ones and thats been a problem all year. 4. Defensive Rebounding...hold them to one shot which means when you see a shot all 5 have to get the ball or block out. 5. Keep guys fresh by substitution more than usual in a playoff game. I know it sounds silly but players get lazy and make mental errors when they are fatigued.
The main problem is they are such good ranged shooters while Curry takes that range to just about anywhere. They reinterpret the 'Spur's formula' to a new more superior one. The Rockets just don't have that type of shooting capability.
The Rockets just need to match up lineups...Cause coaching is a hack.... If the Warriors have... Bogut - Matchup with Dwight Klay - matchup with Ariza Curry - matchup with Beverley Barnes/Iguodala - matchup with Harden Fetus - matchup with DMo Livingston - matchup with KJ McDaniel Speights - matchup with Beasley Barbosa - Terry Green - Matchup with Smith/Harrell
How about we play the players who are actually playing well? Sounds crazy but it just might work in our favor. Then again we can play Dwert,DMo,& Cappela all at once with Harden and PBev ???
Start the starters . Band of brothers off the bench plus Capela in the first half . Depending on how Brewer plays in the first half you can swap him out for KJ in the second . I'm sort Beasley fans .... He shouldn't be playing unless smith really starts stinking it up . He doesn't know the team defense and is a black hole offensively . The key to this team playing well is offensive ball movement . It keeps players involved and happy on O and then they communicate and play like a team on defense . This is why Dmo needs to start . The band of brothers have a certain chemsitrh off the bench and move he ball well too . This is why I'm so pissed he strayed Brewer . It would be one thing if he went with plan A in game one and then depending on the result decided we need to start Brewer the next game to keep up with the Warriors offensive speed . But now ( if he has any brain ) will have to use the second game to figure out alternatives in the rotation to our best squad . The rockets were playing well coming into the playoffs . Some of that is competition related , a lot of it was chemistry related . You could see the ball movement and communication have a sharp uptick . Don't play Chess before you get the team playing their best . We had a little bit of momentum , even if we all can acknowledge the cake opponents ... Our team was gainin a bit of confidence . What does it say to that confidence when you change what's been working becuase we have to try something else against this team it's so good ? In sum , I trust that none of these adjustments will be made and we won't win a game . It's a shame I was really looking forward to seeing what our best rotation could bring , especially since I felt like they had been playing more like a team . I also expected Howard to up his level of athleticism a bit and that to help as well .
No one else found this hilarious??? Love Beverley's face there. I'll shoot it to some friends. It'll go viral....
Calvin Watkins @calvinwatkins 14m14 minutes ago Things are not good @calvinwatkins WIlbon - "so many people report discord between the players, notably Harden and Howard". Comments?
Yeah, i mean, this is pretty clear, i was talking about this here too http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=10430372&postcount=120 ...we just have to move on from this team/roster.
