No stars in their right mind are going to join the rockets after this season.

The chances of landing Durant are practically nil.

    John Blair:
Offensively how did it come apart in the first?

Strengths of their D is their versatility. Didn't do a good enough job making them pay. We have to move more. We moved less, making us easier to guard. Penetrators couldn't penetrate. This can't be a one-sided game offensively. Ball has to move. Need early attacks. They're too good defensively if you don't.

    Harden's 0 FTA.

They're selling out to stop him from driving. They flood the paint on his penetration.

Chippy game a point of emphasis?

It's the playoffs. We don't mind playing physical. It shouldn't be dirty. Nothing wrong with playing physical.

What did you do 3rd Q to get James going?

Pushed it more. He was handling the ball, PnR was good, had 4 smalls around him, he got downhill, opened up driving lanes.

    Lineup change?

When we played them last game, we played small. Defensively, more versatility to switch things. We went that way. Last game, it was a tie game in the 4th.

Skirmish with Pat & Curry - seemed to energize Steph and threw Beverley off.

You don't get him more motivated. He's hungry. He's thirsty for another championship. Foul trouble came because we were aggressive. Fouls came because he was trying to get into the ball. That's the way we want him to play. You gotta be physical. There's never been a good, finesse defense.

Smith played 8 minutes and was really good getting Dwight involved and getting his own shot. was only -1 with Harden on the bench.

    Looked like an offense.

    Gotta sit him...

Why does the media never question him about playing Brewer too much. And then this idiot has the never to get upset when people keep asking him about Dmo not playing enough.

Look, the whole team was crap today. No argument. But Dwight's seemingly tidy stat line doesn't account the numerous lost balls, missed rebounds, goaltends, and other screw ups he had when the game was within reach.

Because Houston media seems to be a joke, no scrutiny, only lollygagging reporters who are not critical enough of the team.

I agree with this. I think the P Bev skirmish was the beginning of the end, it seemed to fire up GSW more than the Rockets

No, they were not the problem.

The biggest issue with this team is the coaching. Always has been and will be until it is solved.

When the Warriors can hold a 20 point lead without their best player and really had no stand out performances then you just see the difference there.

Yes the Rockets need big games from Harden and Howard but what championship team do you say that of? No one says that of the Spurs or Warriors. It's a given that they win and lose as a team.

To win as a team the coach has to realize strengths and weaknesses of his players and of his opponents. We know that Bogut and Green are foul machines, get them out of the game and then exploit the size you have in Howard, Capela, Dmo, and Smith.

We know that Livingston abuses smaller guards. So If you are going to use Brewer then use him on him and use KJ on him as well.

JB talks about Harden driving into a crowded paint, well...duh...look at who you are playing around him...

    Kerr:

(Curry) We weren't gonna play him regardless of what happened.

Monday, Steph is questionable. We'll see how he responds.

    Satisfied?

Very satisfied. Defense was excellent. We didn't reach. We made them earn every point. We did have the brief spell where we lost focus but quickly recovered. Good, solid victory.

(Curry injury?) As far as I understand, he rolled his ankle.

    Harden 0 FTs.

That was important. That's what he does better than anyone in the league. Klay did a great job. Andre did a great job. Bigs stayed vertical, didn't reach. He got going in the 2nd half but kept him off the line.

It would be hilarious if the Warriors decide to rest Curry this series and they still complete the sweep. I could see that happening.

At this point i'll probably start Capela next to Howard, at least we'll protect the piant and rebound better...the ball movement will be ass but it's not goin to be that better with a small lineup anyway...
