For the minority of "fans" who felt we were better off making the playoffs...

Sometimes you need a really traumatic experience to open your eyes and change your world view. An example of this is the so called "rock bottom" moment that people talk about with respect to alcoholics.

It is my hope that getting raped by the Warriors in public might be the kick in the ass they need. The more embarrassment the better. That is something they wouldn't get slinking their way home out of the spotlight missing the playoffs.

At the very least, if they are made to look like ineffectual fools, and Harden shows up out of shape again next fall, I hold very little hope of anything lighting a fire under him.

I bet they create some narrative at the beginning of the Documentary where Bev's double tech shows how much fire Curry has right out of the gate to win it all...he won't back down from the league's thugs.

Why do people feel like they have to say "I told you so!". Clearly the Rockets were better off missing the Playoffs. But they've made it, so let's at least hope the remainder of the series is competitive.

We are in a thought position regardless of whether we made the playoffs or not , but things going well in the playoffs was prolly the best thing for our future.

Did it take a beating by the warriors to tell the fanbase that this team was nowhere near contender status?

Sure there were people hoping to take a game from GSW, but more people thought we were closer to rock bottom than we were to top tier. And if we can agree on that, keeping the 2016 first rounder should help much more than keeping the 2017 second rounder.

I'm gonna watch, but most of us won't be surprised if this is the status quo for the next 3 games, and that's because we've watched this team play all year.

 

So far, seeing DMo's resolve to got straight at Green's defense (and after getting thrown to the ground) is getting us close to the price of admission (losing the draft pick).

This is a pretty good point. Not the player growth part, per se, but hopefully getting absolutely slaughtered (again) on national TV for the entire world to see will embarrass Les enough that we can finally get this **** stain of a team put to rest for good.
