There must be a ring or something because I just heard about someone else's vehicle being car jacked in that area. Hope they catch these a**holes doing it

So sorry man. You have to hate what this world is coming to. Especially when you see it in the place you live and love.

Hopefully they find these crooks and give them what they deserve.

Scary. Glad she's alright and didn't get shot.

The problem with Willowbrook is that it's just a short drive from some rough areas of town.

No she was walking to her car around 5pm and 4 guys grabbed her from behind pushed her down, took her phone and car. She is pretty shaken up, scared to be in the house and don't want to go outside :(

Actually the area is slightly east of willowbrook, I am not familiar with North Houston so I just assumed that entire area was willowbrook.

I am just thankful nothing bad happened to her, just a slightly bloody lip and a scraped elbow.

The police showed up within 10 mins, we put a lock on her phone and changed all of the locks and garage keys since the house keys were attached to the car keys and her address is on the insurance card in the car.

Please tell your significant other to be aware of their surroundings no matter the time or place!

Sorry to hear this, anybody willing to commit this type of violence towards a woman for a car and a phone needs serious help.

Talk to her about getting a CHL. Take some classes on gun safety and shooting. It will give her back her peace of mind when alone in the community again.

it really depends on the person if that would give her peace of mind. guns are not for everybody. in this situation, a gun would have done nothing as they came up behind her and pushed her down.

Doesnt hurt to ask her about it. Personally, Im all for personal protection, especially for a female counterpart. If she says yes, classes would help to make her feel more comfortable about firearms.

Not surprising, Willowbrook has gotten more ghetto as the years have gone by.

Yeah, when I go to Williowbrook Mall, I go during the week. It has a more mellow crowd. Forget about it on the Weekends. Too much like Gunspoint.

They found the car! So a police officer just called and they found the car at a park.

The police are still examining it for prints and DNA, so we don't know what condition its in. Cameras in the area actually caught them leaving the car so they are examining it. They suspect it was done by juveniles/young adults in the area and their main goal was the phone. Its just maddening that anyone would put another's life in danger, and ruin their future since its assault and carjacking over a $600 phone.

I really wasn't expecting us to get the car back and was just thankful that my gf wasnt hurt so this is kind of a blessing.

Thanks for getting the word out and your kind words, I will be dropping a gift in the tip jar. Hope this will be a lesson for everyone to keep an eye on their surroundings no matter the time and place. Stay safe everyone :)

Glad you found the car and that your GF is ok.

Willowbrook area is getting rough. I went to LA Crawfish (by AMC theater and Buffalo Wild Wings) with my family about a couple weeks ago. A huge fight broke out in the patio area, and the teenager that really got bloodied up yelled how he was going to get his guns.

I told my wife and son to finish up and get the hell out. Cops showed up afterwards, but still a terrible situation.

Area is just getting worse. A friend got robbed in their garage after being followed home from Willowbrook Mall a few years back as well

I hate the NW side so much and glad I moved away. Glad your gf is okay.

    1. When I first moved to the Willowbrook area, I've heard stories of a Cambodian teen gang blasting someone's head off on 249 and Gessner, after a car jacking.

    2. Lived in the area for awhile and predicted my house was going to get broken into, which it did.

    3. Caught some guy trying to steal my car/break in on Windermere Lakes

    4. A buddy from the local gym murdered

    5. Waking up to a police chase chase and turning on the tv to watch it

    6. Gf's car at the time stolen. Found a bag of weed under the seat, a cd of H-Town's greatest hits (chopped and screwed) a month later.

    7. Gf's car broken into on 1960.

This area might turn into Sharpstown pretty soon.
