interviews in the next couple of days. hmmm. maybe another reason why our one week excursion into the playoffs may not be a good thing. Thibs might be already committed elsewhere by the time we're done and out.
Both would probably do best being paired with a offensive assistant coach. Thibs/JVG for head coach and someone like Pringles as an assistant would be a sweet coaching staff.
Damn, if Tom Thibodeau is hired there in Minnesota who can the Rockets replace when their season is over? I hope Scott Brooks gets the Washington job.
I'd take this job over any other. KAT is the future! And you know players are willing to play for you (Thibs).
I totally disagree. Since neither guy has a connection to the team, there is no reason for either to be deferential.
I know Thibodeau didn't have good relationship with the Bulls management, how was with the players? There were mixed rumor about that, not sure the real truth.
Playoff teams won't lose out on Thibs, because he won't wait for them to get eliminated. Teams will lose out on him, because of Karl-Anthony Towns.
It wouldn't matter, both Thibs and JVG are micro managers on offense and wouldn't relinquish any offensive control. Their offensive strategy is part of their defensive success. Slow, low paced offense that does not turn the ball over and does not create fast break situations for the opposing teams.
If Darío Morí is ever gonna lose his job, I suspect it will be with this type of deal where the coach is offered full control and the GM is second fiddle.
