EXACTLY on the money with those BvS twitter reviews....a complete joke. You gotta wonder how much the individuals were paid off to write such superlative crap. I am surprised the reviews on this one are so early, but it does indicate obvious confidence on the part of Marvel. I haven't skipped over to Rotten Tomatoes; I did read Scott Mendelson's review on Forbes and his "thumbs-up" was slightly qualified. I think he wasn't entirely sold on some of the plot holes or contrivances or whatever; but I've had a problem with his reviews of late anyway. (He did have a lot of good things to say, especially the acting.) I think he loved Black Panther (character looks sick!) but had some questions on Captain America's motivations. Methinks he's a Team Iron Man guy.
HOLY **** this movie is as good as advertised I caught the screening at Marque and was lucky as hell. Coworker had passes, got in, at about 7pm, he said they were going to let people in at 715 without passes, apparently there was at least 100 seats open, first 3 rows were empty, and PLENTY of seats scattered throughout the theater. I got there at 720 for 730 showing and STILL managed to sit aisle seat 3rd row from the top. I'm shocked nobody showed up, I guess they didn't overbook it like they usually do for advance screenings. Movie has the tone of Winter Soldier, humor of Guardians, and as much action as the first Avengers. Black Panther introduction was spot on, Spiderman got about as much screen time as Hawkeye and Ant-Man. Some may complain he was too much of a kid but have to be reminded he IS a kid and not the college guy you're accustomed to in the previous movies. Can't praise it enough without spoiling anything but here are a few spoilers if you dare want to know Spoiler Crossbones dies in the first 15 mins of the movie Rhodes/War Machine doesn't die but is pretty jacked up from his fall Zemo is a THE major villain but never in costume no Nick Fury in this movie, kind of surprised there was a mid credits scene but nothing major, no introduction to a new character no after credit scene, not sure if they are holding back from screenings, like they did for Guardians of the Galaxy I'd rank this 2nd after Avengers in the MCU, here's my top 5 Avengers Civil War Winter Soldier Guardians of the Galaxy Iron Man 1 Infinity War is in good hands with Russo Brothers..... and Marisa Tomei is TOO hot to be Aunt May... (cool to see a Only You reunion 22 years later)
Nice! thanks breh. Can you give a bit more spoilers? At least about the new characters. I can't wait a few more weeks.
Spoiler Peter Parker was introduced with Starks recruiting him, basically told Aunt May he was part of some internship where reality, he had files on Parker as Spiderman with Youtube like amateur footage, was a pretty funny moment how it played off Black Panther was introduced as one of Africa's political leaders son, father dies because of a UN meeting to sign the bill with the cameras saying it was Winter Soldier, so throughout the movie, he avenging his father's death, his first scene was a stand off with Bucky, pretty entertaining this was certainly a rarity, they never offered GA especially a movie with this magnitude, first time they've ever done this in the 6 years I've gone to advance screenings
I hope this torpedos Snyder's abomination even further. That turd will still barely make a billion though.
Dammit Dave, stop posting spoilers. Do you have any idea how difficult it is for me not to click them?! They're taunting me, dude. "Click me...click...me........cliiiiiick meeeeeeee..."
Okay, I am not a big comic movie guy (which is probably why I was able to enjoy B v. S), but you folks tell me: can I follow C.A. 3 if I've only seen Winter Soldier? Should I watch an Avengers movie first?
I'm glad! Had my doubts about it being a cohesive film with so many characters, major and otherwise, but everyone seems to love it so far. Had a friend go see it last night too, and he said it was amazing.
Even just judging from the trailer(s), I would watch both Avengers movies. That's probably enough, so that you're not going into the movie wondering who the hero girl with the glowing hands, is.
I'm fairly certain you can just go straight in and be okay. With that said, it would benefit you greatly to see Avengers 1/2 first. (ideally you'd also have seen the first captain america, but not a requirement)
i'm tempted to ask you to dm me the after-credit scene on twitter... if they even had one for the prescreen.
Thanks breh! I'd ask for more, but don't want to ruin it for everyone else. You're very lucky to have seen it so early... especially after failing with BvS (I think that was you).
