Stros can still (and likely will) turn it around. It's just difficult having supreme confidence in any HOU squad. Don't blame the messenger, blame history. One thing for sure - I'll never disown my teams. I'll never wear other teams' merchandise. Go Stros! Maybe the Rockets push GS!!
Yep, I just hope that in September I'm not thinking back to the first couple of weeks and saying "Damn, shoulda had that one, and that one...." They need to stop tripping all over themselves at the plate, on the bases, in the field and on the mound.
are you kidding me? if we would have spent millions on Samardjida or Kazmir or whoever, and they gave up 3 runs in 5 innings their first outing I can guarantee you people would be saying how stupid Luhnow is for spending money on that guy, that guy sucks lol, it's just how it is around here man hell i read on here the other night that Dallas Keuchel was "trash" so there is that
This team is crap Nice pieces, but a crappy team They had one of the worst records for four months last year Until they up the payroll, folks are really fooling themselves. Crane and Co. are really selling a bill of goods with this bargain-basement bunch
Makes sense. I sat down on the field, third base side, and the new LED lights are SUPER BRIGHT! To the point of not wanting to look up. They have to be tough on the players.
Yep, and the good thing is we have plenty of farm depth to go get a pitcher when needed. I like that a lot better than guaranteeing long term money to someone in the offseason, unless that someone was a true ace. A lot of folks just don't understand the length of the season, and how big of a role depth plays. We have a LOT of depth, and can use it to get what we need And it's WAY too early to know exactly what those needs will be
This series blew. On to the next and not any easier. Hope they can turn it around against the Tigers.
So we should be 5-14 after bosox series. Not a great start. Oh well. It will be fun watching our young talent come up through the system later in the season.
On pace to lose 113 games this year. I bet they don't lose 113 games... Not a good start, but they will definitely improve.
They will only improve after sitting gomez and springer for a couple of days. The bad part about this start has shown that we dont have a legit clean up hitter. Most on this board knew that Colby was not worth that contract and is not a legit #4. We have issues with our lineup and that cant be ignored. We need a legit clean up hitter and a #2 starter.
At this point, I'd rather sacrifice having a subpar season without upgrading anything "in season" to avoid giving up more prospects. Save the prospects, call up prospects, and sign FAs in the offseason.
I thought the stros were supposed to be elite. Are they going the way the rockets did this yr? What's the problem (s)?
