Brewer seriously is a horrible basketball player - for all the steals and occassional fast breaks he makes so many other errors. Which is why I think JBB sucks as a coach, he can't see that Brewer is a net negative. DD
I dunno about that but Dmo's positioning is good for the defense on the team which TJones in his current state, no matter how much he tries, will never offer. That positional defense comes with the size advantage but the player also needs to know how to move quickly which Dmo is adequate at. But Dmo's stone hands and not being able to get the rebound sure sucks. For his basketball life, Dmo has to catch and finish and get at least 8 rebounds a play off game.
Doubtful Dmo gets significant minutes against GS. Bigs that can play on the perimeter who are active/athletic are horrible matchups for Dmo. DG is a nightmare matchup for Dmo. Hou's best bet is Beasley here.
None of this matters. What matters is Dmo has been suckling this whole time and no amount of excuses or nuthugging is going to change that.
I don't think Dmo would be worth re-signing at this point. I'm thinking he's gone unless he comes back for cheap or on a QO which I doubt. Beasley and Harrell for a total of 3 million next season make him expendable.
I think Dmo has some value if he can have a nice offseason where hes not just rehabbing but actually working on his game. But he's definitely not worth some big payday. I don't think $ would be his overall driving factor though. He does seem like it here in Houston very much so a reasonable deal could be enough to keep him assuming he does show he can be healthy over the course of the offseason
Excited to see DMo in playoffs finally. However, bad team for him to matchup with when they use their cheat-code lineup.
Using *allcaps* like DaDakota now, I see. Does it help your exaggerations, too? I like the allcaps combined with the "nightmare" part. Nice touch. You might unlock DaDakota apprentice level, soon.
This is actually true, but DMo would play 120% to show up before offseason. So let's just hope DG won't destroy us day in, day out.
I wouldn't say he's a net negative, but I would say he's a highly unskilled basketball player with a low BBIQ who by sheer hustle can affect basketball games positively. However at the same time he can completely destroy your team's offense if the game isn't being turned into a track meet. If I could trade one player on this team it would be Corey Brewer. I am not a fan of his. However with this coaching staff, and their philosophy Brewer equates to an answer to the problem of pace being pushed in their favor. That's why he plays so much with Houston. Pace = Brewer. That's it, and he gets the nod. I'd rather see more minutes to a more conservative & disciplined defensive player like KJ (or at least where KJ will be in time). But the fact is you and I aren't going to convince JBB to change his mind in the next week. Corey Brewer will play ALOT this next week for better or worse.
Hahah... tell that to JBB. I really really hope he doesn't do it, but I would bet alot of money that he does so.
Disagree. If we try to match GS's small-ball lineup, we're guaranteed to lose. The most interesting mismatch is DMo and Draymond Green. DMo has a solid post game and a 5 inch height advantage over Green. We need to give DMo post touches to see if that's a matchup we can exploit.
the rockets are losing anyway. DG will destroy Dmo on both ends. he's not going to exploit anything against the DPOY. especially not now. just stop with the delusional wishes on Dmo for this season.
SMH, it's just sad that you don't spend more time learning to properly evaluate players and less time trying to push stupid narratives on the internet. You might be a better poster if you did. I'm not giving up on you though. One day you might learn a thing or two about basketball and have a worthwhile opinion.
How well did D-Mo matchup with Draymond last year in their matchups when D-Mo was playing at his highest level of his career? I'd love for D-Mo to play alot, and play at a high level, but Draymond was a big issue for D-Mo last year. There is no evidence that its an exploitative matchup in the Rockets favor because it was the opposite last year. Plus the Rockets aren't even posting up D-Mo this year, or he's no aggressive in sealing his man in the post like he's been in the past. That would be like my dad giving me a lawnmower for Christmas when I have been living in an apartment for the past year. Why would the Rockets use D-Mo in a way they haven't used him all season since coming back? Look guys... if there was an answer to Draymond Green, or defending the Warriors then someone would have already figured it out. There is no way you can NOT switch everything defensively and even then Curry & Klay will hit shots with a hand in their face from a big/wing that switches. The Cavs took a gamble last year at running their offense through Lebron P&R/Iso's exclusively in a slow down offense, and on defense completely left wide open Iggy. Because of the way the Warriors play, the only two bigs I'm expecting to see minutes from will be Dwight & Capela. I'd love to see a big D-Mo appearance but its just not going to happen almost surely. The Rockets need a HUGE Harden performance, and they need Igoudala, Bogut, & Barnes to play poorly. Curry & Klay you just have to assume are going to do what they do & hit shots with multiple hands in their faces. D-Mo isn't going to suddenly turn this team into Warrior beaters.
You just have to ignore him, he always tries to play internet cop - probably on the SPECTRUM somewhere. Just DRIVES him crazy to do things he finds inappropriate. DD
Green locks up Aldridge, Randolph, Love, and Griffin on a routine basis, yet you think Dmo, Smoove, and Beasley can get him in foul trouble . It's clear you don't watch the Warriors, or Green enough.
