Anyone know when the Rockets are likely to play the 1st game of the series against GSW?

I need to plan my weekend schedule.

you are wise, oh sensei, beyond the mere length of your Hakeem-level rep status bars. Clearly I have much to learn about such matters.

I pray that the basketball gods may grant us all the serenity to accept the things we seemingly cannot change, such as our apparent destiny to be a .500 team, to grant us the courage to change the things we can, such as our collective attitudes toward sucking and losing in the first round versus getting that 12th pick in the lottery, and the wisdom to know the difference.

LOL at that headline! 3 games against the Suns, Wolves and Lakers and in one of them we lost. ESPN must be broadcasting most of these first round games, only reason they are trying to pump up the Rockets.

    We have a chance.

If Curry misses the whole series for whatever reason. Otherwise, no way.

hahaha this is how little these guys actually know

"If Patrick Beverly improves his jumpshot, he can be a starting point guard for somebody in this league."

    What is this? 2012?

    LMAO THESE GUYS ARE r****dED

SAS "If Beverley can improve his jumpshot he can be a starter for someone in this league"

BRUH HE'S SHOOTING 40% FROM 3! I think he wants Bev to be Steph Curry or something. Not to mention he's already been a starter in this league for THREE YEARS.

I would still take the Warriors in 5 without Curry.

This Rockets team is hot garbage and the fan base and city will be absolutely humiliated if the Rockets get the #8 seed. I wouldn't be shocked if the Warriors outscore the Rockets by 75-80 points in the series, and it will be a sweep.

Things that need to happen for us to beat GS

-Harden needs to play OUT HIS FREAKIN MIND. He needs to play a full all around game including defense

-Dwight needs to stay out of foul trouble and not allow the refs or Bogut to frustrate him. We also need Dwight to dominate the boards

-Bev NEEDS to keep Curry under control as much as possible

-Beasley needs to simply ABUSE Draymond every chance he gets. Beasley needs to win this match up for us to win

The main disadvantage we have is coaching. I can see us up big with someone like Beasley having a great game, then JB dumb azz sitting him for no reason, allowing GS to come back and win. Or Bev doing a great job holding Curry, then JB taking Bev out the game and putting Terry on Curry:rolleyes:

I'm already prepared to be frustrated with JB's playoff rotations:mad:

I agree that winning against the warriors is highly unlikely, and that keeping that pick would be more valuable than losing a first round series. But That is not the scenario. you mentioned that even if we win against the Warriors we would then eventually had to face the Spurs. You said this! if we could actually beat the warriors and make it far enough to face the Spurs who the hell would care about the pick then??

This series isn't really in our control. It's all about what the Warriors do.

If they shift down a gear on defense like they did with the Lakers and Wolves, and also try too many fancy passes and turn the ball over, then we will win.
