Brewer should be taken out completely and doesn't deserve any playtime

We were hot shooting wise, but the game was nothing special. Threw up some horrible shots, some went in, and played okay defense I guess. The rotation continues to change which is just weird at this point of the season. Brewer continues to get minutes that should go to Beasley, especially with Josh back. It must be amazing to know the coach has your back regardless of your weird and horrible play.

 

Does not make sense the rotations that JB uses. This team is very deep and IF used the correct could've been something special.

 

Damn TWolves. It's a shame they have to give so many minutes to Rubio who really stifles their offense. If only they had a PG with even the slightest scoring ability it would help them a ton.

 

it looked like minny didnt give a dayum on the court. Werent playing any defense, while Rox were trying so hard out there.

Does Beverley feel sorry for the team they are going to face next? (the tanking Kings)

 

Minnesota had a free for all to the basket for a sure 2 points how many times? The Rox did not try hard neither. Perimeter defense broken down and inside help defense not there.

 

I don't quite get this. Brewer is a shooting guard who sometimes plays SF. Beasley gets most of his minutes at the power forward spot.

 

Brewer is a SF first, then a SG (he's 6'9 listed) and Beasley is a SF / PF and you can easily play KJ / Beverley alongside Terry for a few minutes at SG while Beasley plays SF, Josh PF and Capela C.

 

When Rubio is on the bench is usually when their offense stalls. Lavine isn't an NBA PG and Tyus Jones isn't ready. Rubio's scoring still isn't there but he's gotten better scoring in recent weeks.

 

I'm regretting not going to the game. I went to the Twin's home opener next door at Target Field and that game finished at 6:30. I was tempted to pick up tickets for the Rox T-Wolves but figured the Rox were in tank mode.

If I knew the Rockets were going to put up that effort I would've gone to the game.

 

They shot so well and win big, that the rotations didn't even matter. I have to be mad if I were Beasley. Also surprised Jones played and Harrell was inactive. Coaching is just weirdly awful.

 

Hopefully Rockets are picking the right time to blow their load.

They are all stopped up from the crappy play all year. Time to unleash.

Hoping the Rockets watch some Spurs Tape against GSW and formulates a decent game plan.

Continue with the hot shooting and you might win two games.

Morey will spin it off as the team improving as they won one more game this year.

 

Have Beasley and Smith ever gotten minutes together though? Both are forwards (more suited to the PF spot IMO) and their style of play would overlap too much, I think. This is why when one guy's minutes go up, the other guy rides the pine.

Brewer on the other hand is a wing player who allows a bit of rest for Harden and Ariza. He gets minutes because the second-unit backcourt is really thin. KJ isn't ready for major playing time, while Terry's minutes have to be carefully limited, probably.

Simply put, I still don't see a direct correlation.

 

I love how it's 81 games in, a contract year for literally every power forward except the D-Leaguer, and we still haven't figured out a single thing about who our 4-man is. It's been five games since a power forward played even half the minutes in a game for the Rockets...and the guy who did that has decreased in playing time for three consecutive games.

 

Seriously, Bessly has EARNED minutes. Coaching had been so frustrating this year. Unbelivable.

 

Rockets finally get great 3pt shooting and balanced scoring from Harden & Howard. This is how it is supposed to be. We finally get this in game 81? WTF?
