I would have never guessed those. But yeah, I think they might have said those names. I didn't know if they guessed or those were the answers.

DP to put it away. blAstros back on track. Should a miraculous sweep happen, would put the Astros to 6-4 and the world champs to 4-5. That would be great.

    What a ballgame!

Forgot how special it is to watch this team play at home. The crowd was electric tonight (Great job Houston!), and I can't say enough about McHugh's performance. From the get go he had his stuff and he knew it too.

Also helps when you ump out to an early lead, thanks again Colby! Boy, he could be some solid protection for Correa at the 4 spot if teams eventually choose to pitch around him.

Bullpen did their job. Sipp looked good other than that HR, and in a 7-0 ball game, you're in there to throw strikes, so those kind of things can happen. Obviously we're going to have to improve on our road record from last year, but hopefully this is a great sign to come for another year of home dominance. Keep it up Stros!

pitchers are creatures of habits, 1 degree colder or 2% more humidity than they like it and everything goes out the window.

    Mchugh was great tonight.

as expected. Please minimal days off for White for now. (Even Correa got days off last year, so I expect White will have some here and there regardless.)

Assuming platoon with Tucker to start out..and then we'll see how everyone's doing in a week or 2.

With Duffy in Triple A, i don't see many days off for White as Marwin will play at 3b vs left handed pitching.

Now, What are we going to do with Tucker???? I would not use Gattis over Tucker right now, especially against right handed pitching.

    Against a left handed pitcher:

    1. Altuve
    2. Springer
    3. Correa
    4. White
    5. Gomez
    6. Gattis
    7. Gonzalez
    8. Kraft
    9. Marisnick

That rule shouldn't apply to Colby Jack. He is our 4 hole. If he can't it lefties then what the hell are even doing?

Starting rotation needs to decided who Kraft will catch. Need to pick one pitcher and go with it..

True. I'm glad he's our 4th OF and Marwin is out utility. We have a lot of "how can I get these other MLB starters into games" type questions every day.

I really do love it. We need to do our thing at home and just play 500 ball on the road... That's it, 500 ball.

Very good defender. Career .231/.272 with an atrocious 6-1 K to BB rate, below average power. I wish he was a better hitter, but he is not.

It was great being a part of Opening Day. All credit to McHugh and the offense for getting the win.

Gattis was taking reps at Catcher down here in Corpus. Any potential that he could shift back to his natural position? Gattis / Castro platoon, and send the other scrubs back down to AAA

We need to make a statement and beatup kc head to head the rest of the season.

Sweep them now and lets go on a nice winning streak for the rest of April.

this morning I heard some of the replays of the Ashby and Reed Ryan interviews from yesterday. both touched on this being a possibility to make room for both White and AJ Reed in the line-up.

Not to minimize what sweeping them would mean... but we did sweep them at home last year (with them breaking Springers hand on the last game).

They just need to gain consistency in the starting pitching. Last night was really the first game all year the starter minimized walks and got through 7. If they pitch to their capabilities, they will be very hard to beat... this offense has an entirely new dimension with White/Tucker (along with Rasmus picking up from last October and continuing to kill the ball).

Is this a thing? I like it - but shouldn't it be BLAstros? or Blastros? BLASTros? blAstros looks weird to me. But I certainly like the idea.

IMO, a lot of this season will be dependent on what the F-Bombs can do (that's what I'm calling Fiers, Feldman, & Fister). Really need at least one of them to be consistently good enough for a 3/4 with McCullers coming back...assuming no sophomore slump.
