He'll get his credit. He's made millions and will be in the HOF. I have no problem with any of that but he is not a Rockets and has never been a friend of the Rockets and is basically an arrogant POS (IMO). Therefore at the TC I would not acknowledge him. Thats just my feelings though and I don't expect everyone to fill the same way as me.

I loved Dr J even though he never played for the Rockets. Magic, along with Bird basically saved the NBA. I would have made a hell of a tribute to any of those guys even though they were not Rockets. Even Kareem but never Kobe.

Bird and Jordan were arrogant. I'm sure almost all top players were.
I don't know why Kobe gets singled out for this.

He deserved a tribute and I'm glad the Rockets gave him one.

Like I said, I don't think expect everyone to agree with me and I have no issue with your opinion on Kobe.

I agree!!!!!!!! But, I would have paid to see the look on his face if they had shown the film you would have made. At least I won't have to see him chewing on his jersey anymore. Wish I could say the same about Curry chewing on his mouth guard with it hanging out of his mouth.

People take our PA guy for granted. He is one of the best in the league. Listen to the other team's during away games and you'll realize how good we've got it.

    BBIQ LOLOLOLOLOL

Ignore wide open teammates, contested fadeaway jump shot.

    Nothing special about his BBIQ.

He was a hard worker, thats what made him special.

The tribute was weak imo. Love or hate the guy, he sold out the Toyota Center for us for years. Loved watching T-Mac v. Kobe. We had "BEAT LA" shirts made because of this guy. Only a fool wouldn't realize that Kobe deserves a great deal of respect for what he brought to the game. It's his basketball life that you are giving tribute. MJ is a known jerk off the court, but no one cares. I hated Kobe on the court for year, but he is a true legend.

Jordan was the best player to ever play basketball.

Kobe wasn't even the best player of his generation, he is a Hall of Famer; but he is lucky he even received a tribute for other NBA teams..... had he played for the Bucks, no one would have cared.

F**k Kobe and the Lakers. I hate that we did a tribute. Pissed me off that Lakers were getting more cheers than the Rockets for a lot of the game. Embarrassing man.

Really?... No one would've cared about his MVP award or him dropping 81. Let's take away the 3 titles he got with Shaq. He still has 2 where his 2nd guy was Pau. I don't love Kobe, but the guy was amazing. If you are saying LeBron is better I can understand that, but that's a serious debate, where I don't think it'll be clear until Lebron has had 20 years in the league. Kobe is a jerk, people hate him, but the whole world is acknowledging how great he has been. You have lost this argument with the entire NBA.

There are a lot of Lakers fans in Houston. That was a weak ass tribute that the rockets put together. I was hoping we would be a classy organization like the Spurs and give Kobe a better tribute.

No one cares that Kobe won an MVP...... every year someone wins the award, James Harden almost won it last year and Steve Nash won it twice.

81 points against the Craptors? COOL.... but it isn't an NBA record.

Five Championships? Very impressive, and he was the best player on two of those titles which is impressive...... but Duncan has 5 titles, is he going to be a long and wonderful send off? Did Karl Malone? Hakeem Olajuwon? Dirk Nowitski?........ Kobe isn't Jordan.

No...... LeBron is better than Kobe, and has been since he was 20 years old... and prior to LeBron, Shaq was better than Kobe.... so again, a Hall of Famer and one of the best players in his generation, and the Rockets presentation was sufficient.

Kobe won 3 titles when he had the best frontcourt in the league (Shaq). He then won another 2 titles when he had the best frontcourt in the league (Gasol/Bynum/Odom).

Let's not overrate the guy. He's had stacked teams for all of this championships.

On the GOAT list, Lebron has already surpassed Kobe.

Lebron had a stacked team with the Heat... won 2 out of 4. He has a stacked team with the Cavs. He is going to go 0 for 2.

Lebron has the talent, don't act like he doesn't.

Kobe had talent around him, and Kobe won Championships.
