yea..seems to be easier to play without expectations and now there are expectations that's for sure...I reckon they'll figure it out..way too much talent...obviously we shall see
Seriously not surprised by Gomez struggling this much. I seriously believe he hasn't seen a single pitch he has ever actually swung at. Every time he swings his head turns toward the third base dugout.
So is Houston just cursed this year? All our teams gonna suck? Texans gonna disappoint too? Spoiler It's too early to really worry about the Astros but I'm absolutely putting my guard up. Some definite concerning signs, but we'll see if they rebound here in the next couple of series.
If all Brock has to do is hand off to Miller...make good IQ decisions on the field...pass to Hopkins, Strong,Shorts and Hopefully Coleman I think the Texans gonna be dangerous on Offense. It's gonna be great to see the Texans play with a QB that can do the BASICS for a change and not help the other teams win games. Fingers crossed they get Coleman
Why am I so disappointed with 2-4 ! Royals 4-1 ..... Hopefully they play at home like they did last year

Yes, that will happen to our beloved Astros, when on the road, guys like Nelson will look like Tom Seaver out there. We saw Seaver and Ryan pitching for Milwaukee (Anderson and Nelson). This team SUCKS on the road.
Today has sucked, at least for me: Astros blow it Dynamo blow it Spieth blows it An Englishman wins the Masters Now what? Spurs beat the Warriors?
Think this is the reality check of what we really are in the playoffs. Keuchel will need to win both his starts. And then we need to hope that the bats show up for games 2-3-4 and 6-7 and try to squeeze out at least 2 more wins in those 5, but more likely we will need to win 3 of those 5 games with our bats if Keuchel gets beat even once. And our bats are not ready. For me, that's a long shot. It's a hornets nest. It's not at all unlike last season. So while I'm optimistic we can do this and make the playoffs. I don't see us getting much further unless we address one of those two issues, a legit #2 or an additional legit #5 bat.
By playoff time our #2 and #3 starters will be McCullers and Martes. Chill out. Feldman Fister Fiers are just cannon fodder. Innings eaters. Our lineup has some serious potential, and pretty soon Gomez will either be hitting or he'll be hitting 8th. Or platooning with Marisnick. Our weakest positions in the lineup (DH and 1B) are now strengths, and we should expect improvement from our 3B and SS. This is a dangerous line-up, and the pitching just needs to get its act together for to us to make the playoffs again. Once in, we will be a force.
