I enjoyed last night's episode. Great to see that watching the short Vixen series paid off in such an awesome way
/agree I thought they did a good job with the episode, it just seemed like too easy of a victory to me. Definitely a Vixen fan.
Seems to happen more and more the last 10 minutes of resolution is so easy that it makes the 1st 50 minutes seem contrived Tired of Thea and Malcolm Tired of THE LEAGUE Rocket River
I loved seeing Vixen. The animated Vixen show was great. With the way you guys dump on Laurel, I'm surprised nobody talked about Vixen's acting. It was really campy and hilarious. Diggle and Vixen look really good together. I hope he leaves his wife for her. Fun fact: The voice of Vixen on the animated show is also the actor who plays Vixen on Arrow.
Honestly, its kind of stupid. The entire time I was wondering how Oliver faked her death : "You have to promise me something..." *Cuts away* Que Laurel being bagged. If they did the final wish before death thing it was trying to be too cliche...she was stable.
Show has gotten boring and bad. Failed to capture the magic of season 1 & 2. Couldnt have been a more letdown episode especially the way we were teased simce the beginning of this season. Totally underwhelming.
Agreed. Seasons 1 and 2 were amazing. Twists and turns everywhere, and Ollie's past meant something. Now, it's just all over the place. And a caricature. Everyone knows his secret. The hideout has an open door. It's pretty sad. The bee episode was the worst episode of Arrow ever.
The show simply isn't that good anymore. Being on the CW finally caught up with it, and they caved into all the teenage girls wanting to see Oliver and Felicity together. They never should have gone there. Not only did they go there, there entire show revolves around it now and it has dragged the whole thing down. Aside from Diggle, who has remained pretty steady if underused, all of the other primaries have been written very poorly. I can't stand Felicity now (who I like everybody else used to love), Oliver had been dragged down by the relationship. Thea is less annoying than she used to be, but still isn't really a good character. Laurel was just kind of there this year, and I never bought her as Black Canary anyhow.
The flashbacks don't help either. I think they need to do away with them. Green (Arrow), with its overtones of darkness and melancholy nature, just isn't as compelling a character as Batman. And as it stands, it can't be as "fun" as the Flash. Arrow is just stuck right now. Can't be terribly dark like Daredevil, on account of being on the CW. And doesn't have the consistent comic relief of a Cisco. Structure of an Arrow episode is basically: Bad guy does something, "Will they, won't they" conversation, Darhk / Malcolm chewing up scenery, Ollie confronting someone about something, Arrow confronting someone about something, Setback, Action sequence resolution, End.
I actually completely disagree. The flashbacks were what made the show so mysterious. Slade Wilson flashbacks were amazing. Now they give a 3 second flashback throughout the show and they aren't even that good.
i still maintain what i said halfway through this thread, the 22 episode format killed this show. Oh what a missed opportunity. they can't take the first two seasons away from us though!
The flashbacks are unnecessary now. What made them so good is they had something to do with the present day story line and/or villain.
