Castro is worse than a pitcher hitting.

Gattis could be really helpful on this team if he is able to be average as a catcher.

Castro is just awful out there and you can not carry a guy hitting .210 as your starting catcher for a whole year.

    At least hit .235 man!!!!!!

The guy he K does not hit .200 in Winter League.

He is great defensively but not the bat.

Actually, the Brewers should use him at SS and Villar at 2b whenever he plays, he is really good defensively with great arm.

Yeah but people will say his defense and game calling ability is worth keeping him

would be interesting to see if Castro continues to struggle whether they let Gattis try to catch some. A platoon of Castro/Gattis at C with Gattis/Tucher at DH could be interesting...yeah, i know injuries with Gattis are a concern but with the emergence of White and possibly Reed, we may not be so dependent on him..

Are you suggesting those two factors aren't important? Especially when there's no ideal alternative right now?

Touche. Some part of me still hopes he may someday turn it around. He had a decent spring.

Yes, i don't mind that, but he should not catch as much. If Gattis is able, then you have Castro catching 100 games and Gattis 62.

But to have Castro playing in 130 games is tough.

At this point, its whether or not he can match Ausmus 2004-2005 plate production.
