I understand your point but the tenor of Trump rallies isn't some media narrative or a stereotype. It's real and actual. Trump himself has advocated punching people, soft pedaled his rejection of white supremacists, advocated torture and the killing of the families of alleged terrorists, and claimed Mexicans are rapists and drug dealers. He was also a leading Obama birther and has tried to appeal to angry white America, call it the RocketsLegend project, with his slogans and nonsense. It's not surprising his supporters consist of people ready to get into fistfights that spew hateful rhetoric. He's appealing to hate, fear, doom and gloom, and the worst instincts of human beings. His rallies are the result of an implementation of the historically successful tactics of power hungry maniacs.

Trump has appointed Paul Manafort to be his "convention manager". He will be in charge of all of the delegate and convention related issues, effectively taking these responsibilities away from Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski. A little late, to be sure, but Manafort has done this before and does apparently have a reputation of someone who is competent, if perhaps also a little "long in the tooth." Manafort first served in this role as Gerald Ford's convention manager for the Republican's last "open convention" back in 1976 (40 years ago). So he is probably a bit old, but he does have a lot of experience doing this.

We live in a democratic society in which the media has a big role and responsibility. This is a major failure. This is too similar too state controlled media and NO ONE should be okay with that.
