Les should fire himself before he fires Morey. I would be extremely annoyed if Les were to do that.

The GSW vs Rox offense talk is just stupid because the players are so vastly different. If James worked and moved on offense 1/6th as much as Curry, people would think that the "system" works and has merit. Players play the game, and no one likes when people sit on the ball or just stand around demanding the rock when they don't have it.

Put GSW's system with a Harden team and people would still be complaining.

    Lol

How many chances are you guys willing to give him? It didnt work after 10 years, why would anything work now. Fire the guy before he runs another 10 years into the ground

Name a gm that is available who is better than morey. I thought he did a excellent job trying to create a good team. It just didn't work out. However he needs to select better coaches. Giving Mchale a extension was the worst idea ever.

We're not getting Durant. People need to let go of that fantasy. Why would he leave the 3rd best team in the West(and possibly the league depending on where the Cavs finish) to come to a potential lottery team? We won't even have a coach a week from now.

As for Barnes, he's not worth it. He's a solid player, but that's it. Throwing 20 mil a year at him to lure him away from the Warriors is insane. The best thing the Rockets can do is accept that next season is gonna be ugly. Try to develop whatever young talent you have and look toward the 2017 draft to add additional young promising players to the roster. If Harden is discontent to go through a rebuild(and I wouldn't blame him), then you start entertaining offers for him since he'll be a free agent in 2 seasons.

There's no quick fix for this. Not a realistic one anyway. The Rockets are gonna have to accept that it's finally time to rebuild for real. There's no Harden out there waiting to be dumped into their laps like in 2012. There's no Howard type player willing to come here. There's no sense in making a bunch of desperation free agent signings like during the Rudy era. Rebuild!

The rockets rely on the 3pt shot more than any other team and I provided evidence to that, you didn't say anything other than the warriors are a very good team. Sorry bro, you're wrong.

tahts' why a) we have to make the playoffs.
    b) this year with so much capspace available the art of recruiting is even more important. That's why keeping Morey to try to attract some top FA is vital. Good luck getting a new GM who will recruit stars. I dont' see Riley being available any time soon.
    c) Maybe it's not Durant. But there are also Horford and Conley.

Our best chance to fix some of our holes this year is to keep Morey and make the playoffs.
The clock is ticking. Harden has two more years under contract. If we go in the next season without Dwight and without any top FA and a big hole at positions 1,4 and 5 and even worse without Morey with his trades and his gem finding, chances are we don't make the playoffs again and then Harden would be looking forward to leave.

They took 1 more attempt and last season and shot the ball at a much worse %. They currently have the 9th seed to show for it too, so a very naive and superficial assertion on your part. Just a glance at the context will tell you the story.

Let me say for the record, firing Morey right now is a BAD idea. The best case scenario for the rockets would be that Morey has learned from his mistakes and forks over all this pseudo coach nonsense.

This is so stupid, trying to take credit from every good teams for Morey. Warriers, Spurs, Thunders, Cavs, they are all using Moreyball? how about Morey himself in the past decade in Houston? Your Morey fans are so annoying. Every team used statistic/analytic method in some degree even before Morey went to collage

I think what is stupid is those who don't understand what I said was accurate and obvious.

That, and people who don't even know how to spell "college", I suppose the world needs "sandwich artists" though.

lol. Say, did you know that if you google "Daryl Morey Photos" you get a sort of Daryl Morey collage . . . . true story. Here, try it yourself:

When you have Harden and money to spend, a complete rebuild is a bad idea. I agree that it's unlikely we'll get Durant and people shouldn't hang their hopes on that. But there are good free agents to be had. I don't accept that next season is going to be ugly.

If we keep him - we need a BBall guy over him that actually understands how to play the game and not just read the spreadsheets.

    We're not making the playoffs.

As for count dough ku: Too pessimistic, but you're entitled to your opinion. We'll see how it shakes out but no way in hell Les will rebuild. He hasn't yet. There will be no, "Daryl, I'll keep you; trade Harden and let's rebuild." It'll be, "Daryl, go after Durant, but keep Options B C and D open."

I don't understand how these experts can't easily see this entire season was thrown away from JBs piss ass poor decision making, ROTATIONS, and his gay love for Brewer

Honestly he should just have a ear piece to his dad in the stands

LoL, spelling check is the best you can do?
Morey is the worst GM you want to have if you want to build a championship team unless he changes his approach, why? because Morey is working in a totally different direction with every good NBA teams, such as Warriors, Spurs, Cavs, Thunders, even Clippers. Can you tell what is the most significant difference between Rockets and those teams?
