All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PVP that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on Root Sports unless otherwise noted. 4-8 Scott Feldman, RHP vs. Chase Anderson, RHP 7:10 4-9 Doug Fister, RHP vs. Wily Peralta, RHP 6:10 4-10 Dallas Keuchel, LHP vs. Jimmy Nelson, RHP 1:10
Our problems thus far have been in the pitching department. Our position players have been hitting the ball really well as a whole, so I expect the scoreboard to be lit up often in this series, perhaps on both sides. With Dallas pitching the 3rd game, taking two should be more than possible.
This is where we are already--if the over/under on Tyler White hits in this series was 5, I couldn't in good conscience go under.
Astros on the road, thats the problem. Until they prove they can win on the road, we have to be worried no matter who we are playing.
Well I think this is more about how this almost exact team struggled on the road last year and the same mistakes showed up in the first series this year.
LLW. Hope I'm wrong, obviously, but I agree with the road concerns. Opening series seemed eerily similar to the final 3 months of the regular season.
It's still absolutely ridiculous. We started like gangbusters on the road last year and how did that work out? If we had the same start on the road this year, and say swept the Yankees, that wouldn't mean our road "woes" were "solved" either! Not to get to philosophical or anything, but each season for each player is its own entity to some degree. This is a franchise that started 15-32 and a went to the World Series. We're three games - THREE GAMES - into the season. Literally anything could happen from this point on and it shouldn't be all that surprising. That's just baseball.
I hope somebody else pitches for keuchel the last game. Would be nice to start him the home opener against he defending champs just saying.
