Tmac and Yao were way better than Howard and Harden.

Tmac and Yao are more smoove and looking better than a Beard and Fake Muscles because they were true to their game

Inside and Out - Yes the Jazz had the perfect matchup for that team otherwise we would have gone further

I hate that woulda, shoulda, coulda more than anyone but I feel it is the truth!

Tmac and Yao had actual coaches. It's too bad we don't have a JVG or Adelman level coach with this team, we cruise to the Playoffs.

I do not think there was a season when both were completely healthy

Injuries and JVG's plan without Offense derailed that one season

Both stars were out half of the season and the role players were a lot worse than what we have now. (at least we did not have championship pedigree with Ariza and Brewer)

Nah, as much as I loved Adelman and JVG both had major flaws.

Adelman's was growing old and the D deteriorated season by season.

JVG had no offense outside of Yao and Mac.

Yao owned Dwight and Tmac would destroy Harden. We had a better GM and Coach back then.

They had flaws, just like everyone has flaws.

It's not even comparable to JBB.

Please re-watch the Rockets vs. Jazz playoff series in 2006 and tell me about the heart they showed when they got schooled by Mehmet Okur and heart-champion Carlos Boozer.

JBB and McHale did well in their first 2-3 seasons, hit their ceiling and it went down afterwards.

Both were not modern day coaches.

I appreciate KMac when he was here, he did what he could do, that was taking us to the 3rd round with Howard not being Orlando Howard.

I can only say Harden might be better than Tmac but Tmac was a better fit to Yao than Harden to older Howard.

That pick and roll with Yao and Mac was a thing of beauty! Someone should post it.

Better than all the alley oops to Howard.

    It was 07.

And that was entirely on Yao.

We would have gone to the WCF (at least) that year if fronting didn't destroy Yao or if he could guard anyone on Utah's team.

Tmac actually was willing to decrease his scoring from his previous 32-30 pts to 24 pts to let Yao increase his scoring to 20-23 pts in his first year.

That tells you all what Tmac was willing to sacrifice and Yao was a work horse, sacrificing for the team as well.

    Who got to the WCF?

Dislike them because of their personality/colossal meltdown this season, Harden/Howard made it to the WCF. It doesnt matter how, they made it and Mac/Yao couldnt, results are all that matter.

Harden/Dwight brought back Clutch City nostalgia and haters can't take that away. When Houston made it to the WCF last year, the entire city was orgasmic.

I think one year all it takes was one putrid REBOUND.

Nobody could get one. As much as I loved Chuck Hayes, a 6'6 Center for major minutes does not get you as many rebounds

Yao wasn't Howard good on the boards

Dayum it. Lowry instead of Alston could have done it.

If T-mac and Yao had the health of Howard and Harden this season, we would be a top 4 team, fighting for a 3 seed with the Thunder.

When T-mac and Yao were healthy, they gave it their all on both ends every night.

Honestly, as bad as Harden's defense can be and leadership skills could be questioned, the failure of this duo goes directly on Howard. Harden has played every game and has straight carried us pretty much every game for the past 3 months. Not even the best player ever could carry this sorry sack of crap every game like Harden is expected to.

Past his first season here, Howard never lived up to being the 2nd superstar on this team except come playoff time. He was injured for 41 games last season and this season he was healthy, yet he took himself out of game with his moody behavior and dumb play. Too many times, he let the calls and his lack of touches affect his play on both end of the floor. How do expect to win when your highest paid player is getting 8ppg and 8rpg?

But the biggest disappointment has to be the bench/role player and coaching. No one on this team past Harden and now Beasley (when he gets time) were consistent from game to game. Their disappointing play put so much pressure on Harden every night.

Coaching is self explanatory. JBB is terrible as a coach and clearly not ready. He was put in a hard situation, yes but honestly, a high school coach who part times as a history teacher could have came up with better lineups and strategies than he did this season. Playing JET and Brewer so many minutes when they haven't been effected all season? Jumbling the starting lineup constantly and inconsistent bench rotations? WHO DOES THIS? How can we build on anything when the lineup and rotation changes every night?!

I still think you missed it. Scola. Just having Scola would have ended it in 5 games for us. The difference was clear when we started him the following season.

T-Mac owns. Harden needs to learn how to be more like T-Mac.

Can we hire T-Mac has an assistant to teach him some heart?
