That is a very interesting observation you are making there. Before you made the observation I don't know if a agreed with you but you made me think and maybe i can agree with you know. With the way Carlos Gomez has played for us, the trade looks really bad and the Mets voiding it before it came to us makes it even worse. We gave a very good backup catcher for 1 year of Conger. Right now the Giles trade looks insane.
Who were those weather nerds guaranteeing this game would be postponed, needed to be made up later, and would cost the Astros a precious off day late in the season??? Also, please stop engaging cangrejero. His unintelligible analysis has actually regressed when not thought possible.
Another bad move by Hinch, why not pinch hit for Kratz???? Career .217 hitter, not really a major leaguer. INCREDIBLE
Bats weren't really the problem this series. Pitching really let the team down. Yankees lineup can be tough coupled with the weather. We'll see how things go moving forward.
Giles has looked bad since spring still early but he's yet to do what the Astros think he can do !!!!
Or he's yet to do what he did in his 2+ years in the big leagues. I'm tired of people treating him like some raw rookie prospect who has to grow into a pitcher. He's sucked so far this year. Today, had no business throwing an 0-2 fastball right down the middle to one of the greatest hitters of all time (especially after he made him look bad on the 2nd one). Location was bad to Texiera as well, who still can go opposite field with the best of them. Hell, he struck out McCann with a bunch of hanging sliders that deserved to be crushed. He needs to do better. The entire staff does. You don't normally get away with giving up 3-0 and 5-2 leads in the same game and come away with a W. I'm also still giving credit to the opposing team. The Yankees will score runs galore this year if that lineup stays healthy.
Haha, we're 3 games in. It IS still early. If at game 81 we're barely .500 and people continue to remark that it's early, then the comparison might be apt. Otherwise, S T R E T C H. Let's not forget that we were 4-6 last year after 10. Granted Feldman was a starter in 2 of the losses, but it's early. Let things shake out. Offense appears to be much improved, and we're seeing a bit of the loss of 1H Regular Season Kaz.
Besides Lawson, whose performance was completely unexpected, Morey has made very good trades. Luhnow has multiple trades that look bad right now. - Giles' short lived success was a gamble, plus we gave up plenty - Kazmir had a history of tailing off towards a season's end - Gomez had already been struggling Our fate isn't written yet... things can turn around. GoGo got a hit today!
Well I'm one who was not a fan of the trade especially after seeing what the Stros gave up. Yes the pitching has been bad outside Keuchel and maybe Harris
