If you only have fastballs you will get hit hard.

ARod hit him hard, and the same with Texeira.

Dee DEe also hit him hard.

And everyone hit him hard in ST.

    OUchhhhhh

George has had at least four check swings put in play in these three games. He needs to be more decisive with the bat.

Not sure VV has great movement or command on his FB either, though.

Disappointing series to start the year. Some concern for the pitching staff. Cold weather may have a lot to do with it but Giles is a major concern imo right now because he sucked in ST.

But VV pitched nice for us a starter, right now he would be in our rotation.

They don't ruin it, just like White's first few games don't coronate him.

But it's okay to talk about early results... negative or positive.

And the problem is that he knew the closer's role was up for grab, and he sucked and a real professional pitcher took it away from him.

1-2 isn't the end of the world guys. Good chance they are at least 3-3 coming back home for the opener.

We need to go with 13 pitchers, our rotation is a lot of 4-5 starters that will not pitch many innings.

If Giles continues to struggle, then we are in big problems because our bullpen will not be strong and with our rotation, we need a strong bullpen.

We need better moves from Hinch, why bring Giles in that situation????
I prefer to see Harris pitching to all those left handed switch hitters than Giles.

We need another lefty in the bullpen, is a must.

If Giles doesn't have his command down pat yet why put him games....I would've kept on the sidelines til he sort out the kinks...altho that pitch was 98 he only had 2 home runs belted off him last year

Luhnow has the reputation that Morey had in previous years. I commend him for his drafting leadership in the organization, but it has to be said: his trades have not worked out so far.

Is not the same to pitch with a team that is going nowhere than with the Astros with so much expectations.

Right. Hasn't done anything so far to show he is worthy of the closer's role.

This terrible start reminds me of this year's Rockets. It's still early, it's still early, it's still early.

True...but first off he needs to get over the realization he's not the closer...but all this mumbo jumbo crap regardless let him sort all that out and then put him in..just my opinion
