Did you read about how Trump will force Mexico to pay for the wall? By threatening to stop the flow of money sent to Mexico by Mexicans living in the US? That would make the Mexican government cough up the cash? Jeez, what an idiot!
This is a bit of a surprise, at least to me: Rudy Giuliani is voting for Donald Trump Apparently it is a New York thing.
I think the thought is those people who have no other path to advance with the status quo will try to gain traction with Trump's supporters however they can.
Giiuliani is a terrible human being and puppet. He used 9/11 for political means in the most disgusting way possible, one of them being when he ran for president to defend the Iraq war. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/cQrwKr_b4Lg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Now he is all for everything Ron Paul said (same isolationist thinking Trump is promiting)? Thats what you call being a b****.
You tax the 20 billion a year that is sent to mexico. Mexicans are making fortune off Illegal immigrants.
You are at least smarter than Trump. But it will take you many years to collect enough taxes to build that wall. If you are gonna tax to get things done, you can practically tax anything as long as Congress passes it and you can track down the money. You will probably need to increase the size of the IRS substantially to collect this cash.
It is money being sent to the families of Mexican immigrants (legal or illegal) and Mexican Americans living in the US. Money earned in this country sent back. That is money being sent to somebody's grandparent, somebody's parent, somebody's children, somebody sick, etc. If you had family abroad, you would understand it. There is no 20 billion being sent to Mexico (it is being sent to Mexican people) and this is money which in many cases after taxes. There is no "fortune" being made. Money from the pockets of hardworking people trying to send some to family members.
Ok so some telecommunications monopoly in Mexico charges high rates for calls to the US. So what? My point was, the money being sent to family members abroad is money earned by hardworking people. Money which people have paid taxes on in many cases. Money being sent to family members abroad. In many cases, being sent to elderly people, sick people, children, etc. This isn't just money being sent by illegal immigrants, this includes money being sent by legal immigrants and citizens as well. Plus if you put a tax through money orders, people would probably find other ways to send money abroad so I doubt you could even get much off it (and there isn't really much anyone could do as it is their money and they can do whatever they want with it).
RocketsLegend showing his communist side. Wants to take money from people that earned it and put it in the pockets of a nonexistent wall.
That 20 billion American dollars a year that is going to Mexico is being spent on Mexican products. Mexicans are dependent of illegal immigration.
Actually the new government in Mexico is breaking up his cellular and landline telecom monopoly. That's the reason why AT&T bought Nextel Mexico and iusacell. America Movil is being forced to divest wireless spectrum and customers. They're also being forced to sell off all of their infrastructure as well. Not that Carlos Slim is particularly relevant to any of this. But even your red herring post isn't true.
Not all people of Mexican ancestry is illegal. There are legal immigrants and citizens who have family in Mexico and send money to them. The money they earn is generally taxed. Furthermore, financial institutions generally charge fees associated with international money transfers. Those institutions pay taxes on those fees. Idk taxing that money seems like theft to me. I have family abroad and I send them money from time to time when they need it. I'm a citizen in this country and money I send them is money I earn (I pay my taxes). I don't think it's fair for the government to take a cut of money I've earned, paid taxes on and chosen to give to family. Sure that money is out of the US economy but by that logic, US companies shouldn't do business in other countries. Americans shouldn't give charity to countries after a natural disaster (ex. Haiti after the 2010 earthquake). US government shouldn't give foreign aid to countries in need.
A lot of very promising reforms are under way in the Mexican economy. I think an ascendant Mexico would be very good for the US -- less immigration, weakened drug cartels, a more affluent market for American-made goods, a safe market for American investments, a better educated Mexican workforce to complement American businesses -- that is, if Trump doesn't botch the whole thing.
I don't like casting aspersions on people for the candidates they support; I think that is dirty game that the media play and in our democracy, it is important for people to look at the information and form their own views. That crap around why young women were supporting Bernie(because that's where the young men were), uh no, I think that is complete garbage. I think that the media narrative around the Tea Party and Trump supporters is overblown from just a few bad apples at these rallies. I feel like the media want to paint everyone with the same brush based on what a few idiots do. Generally I'm just not a person that is down with demonizing a group of people simply because they hold a particular political view. All that being said, seriously what is wrong with the people in this video? A guy with the Free Hugs movement goes to a Trump rally and I am cringing at the reactions. http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2016-03-31/at-trump-rally-man-offers-free-hugs-gets-racism Personally, this is more disconcerting to me than any disagreement in political views.
