So you rather iso Harden at the top and allow dirk to not have to play any sort of defense? I would have taking my chances with the PnR with whoever dirk was guarding.

If Brewer is on the team next season..

I will literally turn off the game every time he is on the floor. I'll turn it back on when he doesn't contribute anything for 6 minute stretches and sits back down but the minute his butt is off the that damn bench, it will go back to off. I don't care if Harden is going crazy, the game will be off!!

I knew the moment we resigned him we were making a mistake! A lot of Rockets fans liked that we were keeping the team together but I knew Brewer was not going to be the 6th man/ key bench guy we need on this team. He cannot shoot, dribble, pass or play solid defense! What sense is it to bring him back when he can't do ANYTHING we need our back-up wing player to do? Add that the contract is 8M/year and that is easily the most useless and worst contract on the team!

This season, from GAME 1 has proved that Brewer is probably the worst player in the league when you account for his contract, stats and overall BBIQ. I don't think I've seen a player that consistently plays the dumbest ball ever. This is Javale McGee type crap that Brewer does it every game, and at least Javale might bring some good things on the floor. Brewer is always a negative. Even in games we win handedly, looking in the +/- and Brewer is going to be the biggest - on the team almost every night. Dude can miss 3 put backs in a row then someone puts in his put back and he acts like he won the championship. I know for a fact by now that Brewer is not an NBA player. He is just a player that is tall and got blessed with athletic ability.

We are playing him 8M this season to average 7.3ppg, 3rpg on 39% shooting / 21% 3-point shooting. The team that relies so heavily on three point shooting is paying sizable money to a player shooting 21%, career 27%, from 3!!!!! Like where is the sense in that?! We had people complaining about Lin's contract when he was in Houston yet his stats blow Brewer's out of the damn water! 12ppg, 5apg, 3rpg on 44/35/81 shooting of the bench, those number are actually worth 8M! Lin is making what, 2.5M this season and considered to be a 6MotY candidate. Its not just Lin but anyone! This season, Thornton thoroughly outplayed Brewer every time he was on the floor, yet Brewer was the one getting 21mpg every game while Thornton can put up 20 one game then get DNP-CD the next two weeks.

I know he is just a bench player but I can honestly say that he has ruined the season for me as early as November. The reason being that I know that when he is on the floor, he will 99.9% suck majorly and the team will nose dive from any momentum they had before he was off the floor. Whenever Brewer is on the floor, my excitement to watch Rockets basketball, no matter how crappy they've been this season, instantly goes away. He has ruined Rockets' basketball for me.

But I blame JB just as much. Even though he is an interim and some of the hate he gets by fans can be misplaced (he deserves the majority of it though, don't get me wrong), even he cannot be this blind?! I refuse to believe that JBB can sit there on the bench and watch Brewer constantly gamble on defense and miss every shot he takes and think, "Hmm, Brewer better get some more time. He just needs to settle down." I don't know what the hell is JB's deal with Brewer but it has to be something we are not seeing! When it finally seems like JB is clearing Brewer out of his head by starting KJ, he sits KJ after a couple of mistakes for Brewer! When we needed someone to help Harden score in the 4th, instead of going to Beasley who was 5/9 for 14 points in 15 minutes, he goes to Brewer who was 1-10!

I almost don't want the Rockets to make the playoffs because that means Brewer is going to be getting even more minutes because the stigma that he is a good defensive player.

Morey, fix this and get rid of Brewer as soon as possible. I don't care, banishing him to the damn shadow realm or feed him to the dragons! Just get him off my team!

I agree there but there has to be a reason why dmo didn't get in today. I'm sure we'll hear soon besides the obvious JB is an idiot

You know JB is a horrible coach when no one is talking about the 6 Harden's Turnover and the 8 for 22. LOL.

JB destroyed this season with his stupid rotation.

I saw it. I'm talking about when both Lee and Dirk are in you try it because they are too slow to recover on a trap. Try it once. Surely it's better then a straight ISO?

    I don't surprise at all.

If you check worst defenders in NBA, you can easily find his name in first page.

Like I said, it's too late. Let's be honest. The only reason we're even in the playoff picture right now is because the West is having a down year(aside from the top 4 seeds). If we were this bad any other season in recent memory, we would've been eliminated from playoff contention weeks ago.

But it's a good wakeup call. Les and Morey have bought into their own BS. Yes, we made the WCF last season, but that almost didn't happen had it not been for Chris Paul's injury and the miracle comeback in Game 6. I don't think anyone would've been impressed with a 2nd round defeat. And prior to last year, it was either 1st round knockouts or the lottery.

Les needs to clean house and seriously rethink his approach to how he runs this organization. Maybe tanking for a few years and building through the draft isn't such a bad idea. It worked for the Warriors and Thunder who are 2 of the top 3 seeds in the West.

Why did we have to trade Marcus Thornton again? I miss his clutch shots. And the fact that he'd be a better option than Brewer or Terry.

You don't understand it because there is no plausible reason for not playing a stretch four that can also post with efficiency in a halfcourt game tonight. The reason DMo did not play tonight is only one: the stupidity of our coach!

I just want the Rockets to not make the playoffs so that:
    - JB gets fired 100%
    - Brewer gets traded
    - Rockets get a draft pick
    - Morey realizes how much culture and character is more important than mere talent

    LOL

Anyone that thinks Brewer is good at defense...can't believe JB said he's in there for defense. He's a worst defender than Harden, dude just gambles 9x out of 10.

It's not about what ü would rather have. If the pnr is obviously not there and the defense is giving you a different look and hard trapping off the pick ü have to find something else. Unfortunately, other than harden the rockets don't have the personnel to really counter this.

He desperately needs a better backcourt player next to him.

I thought Josh might have been useful tonight as a secondary ball-handler, when they doubled Harden. It worked well against Dallas last year. When two players would commit to Harden, he would pass off to Smith, with the middle of the floor open to drive to score, lob to Howard, or kick out to the corner shooters. They really needed another playmaker to take some of the pressure off of Harden, especially down the stretch of this game.

Because there were games he was making Harden look bad, and we can't have that.

I mean we gave him away for nothing - right?

In all honesty, I wanted to see him start WITH Harden.

People should not buy any ticket to watch Rockets games.

This organization doesn't deserve that at all.

I guess James Harden will leave Rockets anyway...

Never ask again why media always downplay Rockets.

Even an idiot know the answer now.

Even when they were in the wings played aggressive over the picks and recovered well today. They made a big effort to not give harden passing lanes this game

I wouldn't worry about it. I imagine ticket sales will be down bigtime next season. And even if most of them get sold, plenty will go unused.
