Talk about overreactions. McCullers couldn't get out of the first in Texas last Summer and you guys are begging for him to come back. McHugh is gonna be fine.
yeah but the organization KNEW that LMJ would be on a inning limit so its not as he would be the #2 all year. This is why people wanted them to spend money on a freaking starter. Instead we gave a bunch of assets to acquire a set up man
Agree that most of the time when he had down starts last year, it was 1 inning rather than spread out. But "always" is ridiculous, even as hyperbole
Pitching at Arlington is a different story for a young pitcher in a tight division race. Youre comparing apples and oranges
His last two seasons say otherwise. He's having a bad game [inning]..he'll be fine. I think he's a solid to above average #3, and a very good #4. McCullers is our #2
I never felt completely comfortable with McHugh being the number 2 starter. However, with an ERA below 4, 19 wins, a very clutch series opening performance against KC....I think quite a few teams would appreciate a pitcher like that. I do see Lance being the number 2 option as the season progresses, but I'm not ready to just throw Collin to the wolves just yet.
This is an extreme hitters park in cold weather against a team that mashes RHP. In the season debut. I'd say the same amount of difficulty.
Guys, with our pitching staff, no number 2 starter and a bunch of 4 or 5 starter, we need 13 pitchers in our roster.
