Not Gortat but maybe a Noah type... So yes Keep Dmo Plus add a STRONG 6th man( Beasley-ish --> like he is playing now ) and coach ( Tibbs ) with some luck and good health should get a chip or really close to it. Wall / Beal / Ariza / DMo / Noah bench: Bev / Goudelock / Dekker (health) / Beasley / Capela Coach Tibbs
True but never the same injury twice and never quit on the floor--> bad luck. I preface the statement with health and luck. Better core then now... The bench is solid to withstand any player out for a short while. It is the best we could realistically do moving forward. I think this team could push GSW & mismatch to get by SAS in the playoffs. I also believe Dekker is golden and will be a joy to watch next year. Just closing the Harden / Howard chapter is the biggest PLUS.
I don't know...those guys are good but they also dangerously stink of damages goods (Noah for sure, Beal eh...i don't know), and as a Rockets fan i'm just tired of injuries
Morey shops in the clearance section... Sign them on low and long with team option contracts; we should be okay. ADD Scola (leadership) & Foye (vet knows his role) should be on clearance as well, into the fold, as insurance. Let's get a ring!
I don't think that Washington will let Beal walk for free. Perhaps though they will explore a s+t. I said about the Wall article about his whining for not enough exposure but since then lately things have gone toxic in there. Beal calling out teammates, gortat going to twitter to say he doesn't have a place to talk...I think that perhaps their Gm will finally get fired, and the team broken up. We don't have the assets to get either Beal or Wall but perhaps we can get some of their other guys like Gortat.
Yep, i agree on your final point, but anyway, personally, i don't like what they have, i mean, yeah, they have good players but i don't know, a lot of unproven guys if you ask me...Wall, Beal, Gortat, they're good players obviously, but none of them has shown me that can play at the top. Wall is good on both ends, but he's not elite overall, and i'm not sure he'll ever be. Beal honestly, i feel he's a bit overrated and yeah, too many injuries. Gortat is gettin old, he doesn't rely on athleticism but still...i would not trade something good for him...maybe.
Wall & Beal for Harden is a joke. But would trade Brew for Noah, if Rockets sign Whiteside. Bev/Goudelock/rookie or FA like Russ Smith Harden/Gentile/KJ Ariza/Putney/Dekker Beasley/Harrell/Smoove Whiteside/Capela/Noah And if Rockets can sign Durant: Bev Harden Ariza Durant/Beasley/Harrell Whiteside
Sign Putney for the postseason. He's already a better 3 pt. shooter, scorer, creator, rebounder, shot blocker, defender, passer than either Dekker or KJ. Putney is also longer, more versatile and more explosive.
It should be increasingly obvious that Pat Beverley can no longer hang defensively with quickness at the point. I love Bev. Love his spunk and fire. Love how he guts it out. But he's a backup. He's simply not quick enough to keep guys like Barea from dribbling circles around him.
It wouldn't land you Cousins. You'd need to gut this team. Something like: Ingram/Simmons + Ariza + Capela + future 1st rounder for Cousins
Simmons sounds like Beasley but number 1 pick does open solid trade routes too bad it's a pipe dream....
Yeah...no one would trade that package for Boogie. Not even Ainge is goin to trade Nets pick, Crowder, Smart and Nets 2018 pick for Boogie. Something less maybe.
