Basically 11 PM CST on Sunday is when they come out. Just watched episode 3. Really loving this series, gets better and better. I wish we didn't have to wait for another week to watch another. Spoiler I think it's a mistake he's getting involved with the girl. Could have lasting effects later.
So is Hulu a TV network now? Why the single episode a week bull****? If I go to a Denny's diner teleport back in time do you guys want me to prevent lillard last second shot? #whatwouldchandlerdo?
Finally finished reading the book early this morning. Will be getting a month of hulu to catch the series. I really enjoyed the book and thought the adjusted ending was better than his original plan. It aggravated me but I think that actually makes me like the book more for at least pulling some emotion out of me.
Show hasn't been bad so far. Some corny acting in some spots, but it's Franco so you can't really expect much more than that.
So if JFK would've lived, he would've been a piece of **** president that destroyed the U.S. and left it in ruin. Cool. Anyway this was a fun watch.
I read the book and watched through 4 episodes. So far, the book was much better. But the books are often better, especially King books (which are hard to bring to film).
I just finished the book. That ending gave me the feels. I loved the book a lot. I'm excited for the show now. Spoiler If I could change one thing, I would have made it so that Oswald misses Kennedy but hits Jackie. This sends a whirlwind of effects changing everything. Then the green card man could explain to Jake, someone always has to die that day, and it was either JFK or his wife.
Just started watching the show. I think I should have watched it before reading the book. The differences between the two irk me the entire time.
I think whoever read the book first will be disappointed but if you went in without ever reading the book the show is that much better. Like you I read the book but when it first came out so I was psyching myself up for a faithful translation. Then it went off into a tangent fast but still appreciated the TV series.
There are a lot of little things the book did that the TV show didn't. Those little things were what was interesting to me. Spoiler Even the way he met Sadie was better in the book. I haven't gotten far into the series, but I loved the relationship he had with Sadie in the book. However, with Bill Turcotte being in Ft. Worth with George/Jake I don't see Sadie being as involved in things. I hope I'm wrong. I also don't like Bill Turcotte being Jake/George's partner in all this. Maybe I'll change my tune as I finish the series
The one thing i wanted to see more of was: Spoiler The perspective/plot surrounding Lee Harvey Oswald that was in the book that definitely wasn't fleshed out in the TV series. I thought that gave Oswald, the character, more dimensions than just the Oswald that we all know as the killer.
