If it's pretty obvious, it should be pretty easy for you to prove. Or at least demonstrate. Or maybe at least provide some anecdotal evidence for?

I tried to google to get some answers. I found this, a June 2015 report from the Pew Research Center. Two things in it I found interesting:

    1. If you compare the latest year on US favorability to what favorability we had in 2007, the numbers seem to have gone up for most countries. Only a couple of predictable places have gone down since Bush left office: Russia, Jordan, Lebanon. All the most important places, like Europe, Canada, and the BRIC countries, have gone up. Some countries have had very big increases in scores, like France for example went from 39 to 73%. And, some countries surprised by becoming more favorable when you might expect they'd go the other way: Palestinian territory went up AND Israel went up, and Muslim countries Pakistan, Malaysia, and Indonesia went up.

    2. Towards the bottom, they measure confidence in Obama, and find that he enjoys widespread international confidence. He has some problems in Russia, in the Levant, and Venezuela, but otherwise he looks pretty golden. By comparison look at Pew's numbers for GWB: http://www.pewglobal.org/2008/12/18/global-public-opinion-in-the-bush-years-2001-2008/. He couldn't get over 50% anywhere except India, Tanzania, and Nigeria. And Obama has increased the score in all 3 of those countries.

Okay, you'll probably say US Favorability isn't respect. And Confidence isn't respect. And you may say these are polling of the masses and may not reflect the opinions of the world leaders themselves. You might say they may love us but don't fear us. Which are all valid points, but Pew's research still reflects something worthwhile to speak to the question of Obama's and America's international reputation. It's pretty damn good, and much better than what we had with Bush. Probably better than is fair to expect from our next president, whoever it is. And, if it's Trump, we can probably expect to chop off 20% from every score as soon as we drive him off the lot, given the bad reception his possible candidacy has already garnered. Even the success he's already had has been a bad look for us, showing our allies the seedy underside of the electorate.

Okay, so that's what I've got. What argument do you have to demonstrate that other leaders see Obama as weak?

I think his point is that Trump would make a good dictator of Russia if Putin ever wants to retire that job.

I actually don't mind Hannity or Limbaugh - at least they'll listen to opposing views, even if they disagree with them.

Mark Levin is the ****ing worst. He insults and yells at people that are on his side. Obnoxious ass.

So you are actually in favor of a government targeting private citizens who aren't criminals for assassination and death?

If he is that unhappy with this country, maybe he should move to Russia.

I'd like to hear what you think the difference is. 'Rebel' defines a person by their goals, and 'terrorist' defines a person by their means. You can easily be a terrorist and a rebel. And, in practice, rebels often engage in acts of terrorism because they lack the strength to win in conventional warfare. The Chechen rebels, in particular, have engaged in terrorism against Russians.

    Let's recap.

    Q: Why did Lincoln succeed?

    A: 1. He was intelligent.
    2. Any president is intelligent.
    3. But he was intelligent.
    4. He did something 10 or 20 years before.
    5. He did something nobody thought was possible.
    6. Some people don't, um, have maps.

Okay, then. Thanks, Ms. South Carolina.

Reminds me of that line in Back to School when the professor asks Rodney Dangerfield about the Great Gatsby. He was... great!

BW, here it is. My philosophy is basically this. And this is something that I live by. And I always have. And I always will. Don't ever, for any reason, do anything to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what. No matter... where. Or who, or who you are with, or, or where you are going, or... or where you've been... ever. For any reason, whatsoever.
