I just binge watched the last five episodes and thought 3 out of 5 were pretty damn good. 2nd to last episodes are usually terrible. There have been worse seasons... Man, it'd be a trip if that dead baby eats her way out of Maggie.
Watched the episode tonight... Meh. After watching an incredible finale in black sails... This show... Once again out of ideas or something, and the characters go full r****d again.
I'll grant you that Glenn should of just shot Nicholas, that was pretty dumb of Glenn to trust him. But Glenn only ended up endangering himself, not the rest of the group. And you're acting like Glenn made the decision to go after Daryl and everyone followed it. It seemed like a decision by consensus to me, as both Michonne and Maggie were next to him and everyone went together after Daryl.
I say they should off Glenn, Daryl, and Michonne. That would shake up the show and prove they have balls.
My guess is we get a primitive C section situation with a zombie fetus. The showrunners probably feel the need to push the envelop & get the internet talking... that will do it. The only question is does Maggie live through it??.... I think so.
I agree but they wont do it.... at least in the finale. The finale will leave off with cliffhangers galore. The formula works for them so I'm sure they will leave it hanging. I think we will find out about Daryl and Maggie in the finale but the major death coming from Negan's hands (I'm calling it now) will be a cliffhanger. But yeah, we've run our course with many of these characters. You now have some more interesting new characters like the Jesus dude, Morgan being back, and larger roles for Eugene & Rosita who should get more burn.
zombie babies don't have teeth. And you'd think that as soon as they turn, a mother sharing blood is a goner at that point, too. So, the primitive C section to get the world talking would be about killing a living baby for fear that it dies and turns and infects the mother via umbilical cord dun dunn dunnnn
Hmm...those are some good ideas. I like Maggie being killed from the inside out. Didn't Maggie take a blow in the last episode or two when she was kidnapped right where the baby is? One can only hope it killed the baby and now the zombabie kills her. I also hope Daryl is dead...but no way, man. Like others have said, some cities may erupt in riots. I'm tired of Daryl's schtick personally. He's always done what he wants and gone off by himself...so why the group would go after him now makes no sense. Some interview I read with Norman Reedus...he said he was shot in the head. It sure didn't look like it based on where the gun was pointing.
You might not have noticed the bruises in the shower scene. I was looking further down, as well. Didn't see her bruises until someone told me. zombabie good one! :grin: wrt Daryl. What I don't get is why would they even open the gate for him. They've been talking about an imminent attack, and the need to guard the fort. Rick and Michonne just discussed in the scene immediately prior, no? Then Daryl's off and everyone runs after him, despite obviously knowing they are being watched by Savior Scouts by now. Rick would not have allowed that. Carol, on the other hand, appears to have snuck out without notice.
She's already infected. Everyone is. My understanding is that you only "turn" when you die. If you get bit, the wound infection is what kills you, and you turn afterwards. So I'd expect that a fetus could die, and then turn inside of you while you still look like a normal functioning person. Geezus I can't believe I'm thinking about this. Pretty twisted stuff if they do go there.
Yeah, we know everyone's infected. But you can die from a bite. Seems what transfers during a bite would also transfer through the umbilical cord. But maybe not. They don't seem too worried about getting entrails and blood all over them...like HIV. So, it is just saliva or something. Never really made clear, was it?
Hmm, I'm pretty sure in interview I read he just confirmed he was shot but didn't say where. Do you have a link to that?
I believe now that I misread it. The article said "it appears Daryl is shot in the head" and then Reedus was quoted as saying "it's exactly what you see". There are variations of the actor's quotes appearing in different articles. I did see one article quote Reedus saying "I won't tell you where he was shot" that wasn't in the article I read. It's an obvious ploy till they answer what happened in the next episode. No doubt he survives. Zero doubt. I'm starting to smell a JFK conspiracy...as in he was "shot down and to the left"...meaning part of his ear is gone and then the bullet did a 90 degree turn striking him in the shoulder. lol

I went back and watched that final part several times and it definitely looked like he got shot in the shoulder. No way it was the head.
