That's exactly what GSW does, 3s and layups along with analytical coaching BS. Do we play like them? Heck no because our players other than Harden suck balls.

If you want to make a racing comparison how about the same Ferrari is driven by two different drivers, one Dale Earnhardt and the other by a blind hobo off the street. Would you blame the Ferrari (the system) or the driver (the players)?
