haha. I was so stuck on the Schweikart part, once I figured that out (bad with names), didn't make the adjustment.

Maybe you can help me with the line Daryl said in TWD, too

It would be very easy for the show to make other characters into assholes to get the audience to empathize with Jimmy's behavior.

But they refuse to do so. Hamlin, Chuck, Mane, Schweikart are all reasonably decent human beings.

Agree with others, but since Chuck is his brother, he needs to be more than a decent human being. Needs to support his brother. So, Chuck could be called an ******* towards his brother.

Her judgement about Jimmy damaged the reputation of a firm Hamlin spent years building, and she new Jimmy better than anyone other than Chuck (who warned Hamlin about Jimmy).

I didn't watch attentively on this last episode.

Did Kim botch the interview and then decide to work independently with Jimmy sharing office space but not partners?

I saw the part at the end of the interview where she called one of the partners by the wrong name. It seemed like she blew it and she knew it.

She nailed the interview, but I think the name gaffe was meant to imply that she realized this firm would be no different than working for HHM. She doesn't want to do that anymore, but she also doesn't want to put her name alongside Slippin' Jimmy.

I thought that when Jimmy tries to get Omar to stay for drinks and omar replies with, "I have to get home to my kids." was an attempt by the writers for us to dislike jimmy. I was like you know chuck doesn't seem like the a-hole.

Yeah, most BCS watchers are the family-man types who dislike wonderers. :p

Chuck does see to be right about Jimmy stealing from his dad? Wolves or Sheep? You have to decide which one you want to be.

I don't think she botched the interview. That misstep was the only thing she did wrong and I didn't get the impression the Shweigart guy really cared much. I think the fact that she mixed up the names made her realize that this new guy probably isn't that much different than Howard. Howard was a good guy to her until Jimmy got inserted into the equation. So she decides she will be her own boss separate from Jimmy so she can control the degree of damage he does. Because she doesn't want him out of her life...just at arms length, professionally.

I don't think she blew it at all.

They are not giving these characters any easy excuses for the decisions they are making. Exactly the opposite, Kim and Jimmy are both rejecting good situations for something much riskier.

I got the impression in the interview that she didn't have enough experience in big cases. She had the one case she mentioned...but that was it. It didn't seem all that impressive to me. It didn't feel like the others were enamored with her like her initial meeting with the one guy where he was talking "making her a partner".

I guess I'm wrong. I was looking for reasons that it didn't go well. Maybe I should go work in HR? I would never hire anybody. ;)

Honestly, it seems dumb on her part to start out on her own with such an opportunity available to her. And, based on what was said in the initial lunch meeting, it was going to be different from her job before. She was going to hold more power and basically do what she wants. No more worrying about being banished by the big wig to do menial work that interns should be doing.

Didn't realize this was another short 10 episode season. Hopefully they expand to 16 episodes by season 3 or is that already known?

HP, there's this amazing thing on your TV called closed captioning. Don't get me wrong I don't leave it on all the time but if I rewind and still can't make out something I want to know, on it goes for the duration of what I didn't understand.
