Does anyone really think that this is any more than something dreamed up by the Trump campaign? I'm not saying that Cruz wouldn't have mistresses or that he wouldn't get a hooker, he probably does and would, but c'mon, it's obvious what this is.
Not a Cruz fan (or Trump), but I agree that's probably what this story is. Wouldn't be surprised though if a large chunk of those in Washington have a side piece. I don't personally see this story as a big deal at all, but I guess they're hoping his evangelical fans might.
Are you hiring lower-wage visa workers from countries with 50% open defecation rate? Are you employing workers from the domestic pool whose wages have been undermined by illegal immigration? Are you dancing to the fact that Obama's DOJ refuses to prosecute anyone on Wall St. in connection to the 2008 recession? Or are you middles class or below?
Pretty much no. It's so obviously Trump initiated. It's delicious though to see Cruz, after his iterations of underhanded campaign shenanigans, getting a good slice of sleaze pie, (whether or not he is getting a slice on the side, which I actually doubt). If there was dirt with five different women, in today's world, I really think that would have come out by now. (Nasty comment deleted.)
I guess, but the character assassination and rumors and innuendo are worse than irony, hypocrisy or whatever word jaded teenagers use to attack grown-ups they don't agree with.
I fully agree with the bolded part. Cruz has run an incredibly scummy campaign thus far, but unsurprisingly Trump showed that he can be even scummier.

John Edwards was the Vice Presidential nominee and was 110,000 Ohio votes away from winning. His scandal didn't come out until he was out of politics. Stron Thurman's kid didn't come to light until after he died and he was 100. I would agree that it is very unlikely to be true. I don't believe it. However, you never know. Men in power are men in power and we've seen the moral politicians do this before. Remember the guy from Minnesota who was arrested for soliciting gay sex in an airport bathroom? Plus, National Enquirer broke both the Jesse Jackson and John Edwards baby mama dramas before anyone else. You may disagree with them politically but they never seemed like sleazy guys at all. The fact they have been right before (no matter the rest of their awful track record) means you have to give them some credence even if you don't believe it. It's awful that these women are having their faces plastered everywhere for no reason. I think it's a bit naive to think stuff like this just isn't possible with any politician but people shouldn't make any conclusions unless their is proof.
Both true, but both cases were almost completely before the internet existed and both cases were definitely before people discovered instagram and snapchat.
Really? It was only 2004? Wow, time flies. I still think the media muckraking machine is 10x what it was in 2004, but yes, perhaps big secrets can stay down in the mud for a good long while. (As for Gore, I'm not sure exactly when he championed research funding for the net in committee, but apparently by all documentation, he did do that.)
^^ to be fair, Instagram started in 2010 and Snapchat in 2011. btw, apparently a writer for the Washington Times is saying at least two of the five are true...
It doesn't matter if it is true or not, it's enough to bury him. This is the Republican playbook. Attack based on conjecture and deny deny deny. We saw it with Benghazi (which was admitted by the number 2 house republican to be a witch hunt to lower Clinton's ratings), we saw it with how Republicans jumped on the emails, we see it with the birther movement, it's just getting old. It's a shame, I don't care who Cruz sleeps with or not, that has nothing to do with whether or not I'd vote for him
