guy seemed like he had a mental issue. They could've just let him go if they didn't continue to instigate with what was clearly a trigger for him. Not that they're at fault for the shirtless guy being aggressive. But they could've been the bigger people and just walked away--seems like they could've avoided escalation. No real harm, but still sad

True, but sometimes there are consequences when you "act a fool". This was non-lethal and instantaneously de-escalated the situation. Perfect IMO.
It worked out in the end but that bigger white guy didn't know what he was doing with that choke from the look of how he secured his grip. At least he let him go at the end, but the other guy wasn't being too threatening. He was being annoying and clearly had issues, but you can see him back down and put his hands behind his back after the other guy told him to get out of his face. Hope the kid that got choked out finds the help he needs and I hope crossfitter doesn't think he is a submission superhero now.
When I saw "aggressive subway", I thought this was a Jared Fogle thread. Thor should give that guy the same treatment.
