A Trump nomination would completely destroy the Republican party and IMO that could be a very bad thing if it isn't a brief state. There needs to be balance and a Trump nomination destroys that entirely.
While the opinion of Muslims is one thing, it's people who have a favorable opinion of the constitution that should be upset by his position.
I'm guessing GOP leadership will allow Trump the nomination if he has a plurality while shadow supporting a doomed 3rd party candidate and blaming it all on (yet another) insane "rogue" billionaire the have "no control" over. They still need racists, lunatics, and frightened old angry white men to vote for them in future elections despite doing more harm than good to them for the last 15 years.
Interesting poll results... Trump, not Cruz, appears to have the most "if not my preferred candidate, then x second" preference. Seems to suggest the anti-Trump movement isn't strong enough to block his nomination at a contested convention? http://www.politico.com/story/2016/03/2016-republican-poll-trump-cruz-kasich-221111
What percentage of Muslims do you think were voting for Cruz prior to comments and now will not vote for him? I have to think it is very small. Cruz has been a huge friend of Israel, and has made comments many have viewed as anti-Islam in the past. I don't really think there is much political fall out for Ted Cruz by taking a hard line against Islam and refugees in this election. What he is likely trying to do, is keep some of his supporters that are anti-Islam from backing Trump.
The NYPD police commissioner doesn't think much of Cruz' unconstitutional idea of patrolling Muslim neighborhoods. http://www.businessinsider.com/nypd-slams-ted-cruzs-plan-to-patrol-muslim-neighborhoods-2016-3

SMH... the GOP primary for the President of the United States has sunk to a battle about the leading candidates wives. Embarrassing...
As a fan of the constitution and maintaining my support for that constitution, it would be impossible for me to vote for someone like Cruz who is so willing to toss the Constitution aside.
lying ted and his wife said the nude pic of trumps wife (in the ad) didn't come from them but neither condoned it either.
When Cruz's whole campaign strategy is centered around another candidate, he's already speaking as a loser. "I am the only person that has defeated Donald Trump"
According to the Houston Chronicle, Ted Cruz calls his wife to sing her show tunes. Show tunes. According to Us Magazine, Cruz says his favorite movie is The Princess Bride (and can recite every line). Just saying. Not that there is anything wrong with it.
All I'm saying is if I was about to get into a fight with some people Ted Cruz is not the first person I would think of to help me. He seems like a total pansy.
OMG.... ...not another Marcus Bachmann??? ...nothing wrong with him either...at least nothing that hasn't been "prayed" away...
The Princess Bride is a great movie. Ted Cruz liking that movie is possibly his only redeeming quality.
