Pros and Cons: Finishing games with Dmo/Beasley at the 4/5

Not true. Beasley has played 98 minutes with Harden on court and 61 minutes with Harden on bench so far.

 

If your only going to go off of plus minus stats then he should have closed the game out with DMo last night since Beasley was a -2 and Dwight was a -5.

Thats your own logic.

 

That +/- is such a flawed stat either way for whichever player lol disregarding other stuff happening on the floor. Beasley was sent in for Terry last night for OKC's 2nd free throw in case they miss, they made it, and Beas from -1 in his previous stints went to -2 just because of that and got subbed out completely zomg what a scrub cut this guy!!!

Capella should start! Bench Howard already. jeez...

 

While I'm loving the firepower he brings, now that I've seen a lot of him holes are starting to show. Beasley is not a good defensive player at all. And while his aggression is nice, it's crossed over into ball hogging at times.

I think he's most valuable as the 6th man who get's his when Harden is on the bench. I typically don't want him closing out games at the 4. Plus D-mo at the 5 is not a good option. He can handle it if forced to, but his length and athletiscm would leave our frontcourt overmatched if combined with Beasley.

 

I'm fairly certain Harper is a big T-Wolves fan and Beasley is just the sort of player he would jump on the hype train for only to be burned. He still views him as the same player and is dug in.

 

I've said it many times before... Beasley is our Marcus Thornton at the PF position. You will never be able to count on him to be a set fixture in your rotation because he can shoot you back in games, and he can shoot you out of games.

If we are looking for the frontcourt lineup of the future post Dwight, I'd have to say D-Mo/Capela would be the one the front office and coaching staff is paying the most attention to. And us as fans should be paying the most attention to it as well when we get to see it.

 

It would be nice to be able to finish a game with Al Horford at C and Kevin Durant at PF in a fast lineup. ;-)

 

Beasley needs more minutes period.

 

Should definetly be used up until the 2:00 mark in the 4th quarter of a close game, especially when Harden has it going, Its laughable that the first time we try it is game 3 of the playoffs.
