In that position, you get the last shot of the game. Even if dwight catches that he could get fouled and miss both free throws. While still leaving about 3 secs left on the clock. I would rather a full court harden 3 then no shot attempt.
Well why did you then? I see now why you mostly post links to news stories. This medium otherwise does not suit you, my friend.
He's also obliterating the franchise points created record...better take the ball out of his hands! Too risky!
What's so bad is that I could go in and coach this team for less than 2 weeks and they would make some serious noise in the playoffs. If I had a million or two to burn, I would call up Les and offer it to him to let me coach the Rockets and fire the entire staff for the end of this regular season. Then I would bring in Calvin as my assistant, Bullard as the shooting coach, and Mad Max to talk **** to Harden and Dwight about lazyass defense and effort. We would go to the WCF again this year, if not win it all. I would play: PG - Harden/Bev/Goudelock (Terry wouldn't play again unless injury) SG - Trevor/Harden/KJ SF - Beasley/Trevor (Brewer would never see the floor unless injury) PF - DMo/Beasley/Harrell (Same for TJones/Smith, no injuries, no play) C - Howard/Capella/DMo Someone loan me 2 million to offer to Les to fire the entire coaching staff and let me take over!
Whoop dee do. Team is still under .500. And still think that was a risky play in that spot especially again for a turnover ridden player like Harden. Agree to disagree on this.
I seriously wouldn't have minded Morey firing JBB and actually taking over as head coach, though of course that can't happen since he'd have no time to scout. Goudlock probably would be a decent rotation player but JBB just can't help but give Brewer and Terry all his minutes. And KJ and Harrell once again riding the bench is inexcusable. One of the reasons we're bad defensively is our best D players are getting older and slower. We need SPEED and our fastest youngest players are stuck on the bench.
Not a lob play thrown by a turnover ridden player to a poor free throw shooter in the closing seconds down two. Perhaps some PnR action with Beasley. That has been a successful play. Just so many risk in that play. Even if the pass was good by Harden and Howard catches it they were swarming him ready to foul to send Howard to the line.
Our team needs some adderall . Our coach needs a brain . Our GM needs a conciouss . Clutchfans well , there's no helping us .
I don't remember any successful Beasley Harden high screen and rolls tonight. Then again I didn't see part if the first half so I might have missed one. Howard was wide open breaking to the hoop, it's really lame for you to argue a coach didn't do his job when that happened. The execution failed, as somebody noted in the game thread Harden got bumped and had to fire the ball harder, Dwight meanwhile can't quite explode or wear stickum like he used to.
This moron is literally killing our team with his dirty cronyism. We all know JB and Brewer are buddies, and will never cut down on his minutes. Just sickening to watch.
My whole point is know your personnel and situation in the game. The play may have been a good play if executed the right way but the chances AGAIN with the personnel running that play in that spot just to me seemed risky. AGAIN it's obvious we're not going to agree on this one. And Beasley and Harden have had some good chemistry with their pick and rolls. Beasley wasn't as sharp offensively tonight but he's still more of a threat on the floor along with Harden then Dwight was in that situation.
Watching the game at my friends last night(Chicago fan) Friend: "why does your coach always look like he's about to cry" Me: "cause he doesn't know wtf he is doing"
The coach called up a play for his two stars, who were each having pretty good offensive games, as well as (and technically Terry, one of the NBA's great all-time 3 point shooters open for a corner 3) AGAIN it's obvious that a gifted alley-oop catcher breaking wide-open to the hoop (or an all-time great 3 man alone in the corner) is the best you can hope for from any coach in terms of diagramming a play....every single coach in the universe would tell you this. Beasley didn't score a single basket off of a harden P&R - btw. He scored 5 baskets on 12 shots - 2 were ISO/long 2's off of jumpers 1 was a lay-in of an offensive rebound 1 was a lay up after a Harden drive-and-dish off of transition 1 was a long jumper after a Harden drive & kick 0 were off of pick and rolls from Harden Otherwise, you're right that it was successful all night!
LMAO!!! Stephen A. Smith: JBB has done a good job all things considered. Dwight Howard is leaving Houston. Doesn't get enough post touches.
You know why you're not the coach? Because you need someone to loan you 2 million to offer to a multi-millionaire so you can be paid to be a coach. It's like offering Warren Buffett 20 million to run his 10 billion portfolio for him. If you need to offer McDonald $10 an hour for a job flipping burgers ...
All I ask JB is too hold people accountable for playing defense. There is absolutely 0 chemistry between D12 and Harden. Neither cares about making noise in the playoff and D12 can't wait to get the most money for his next contract, which will not come from the Rockets. I'm hopeful that Capela puts on muscle, improves free throw shooting, and increases his overall Bball IQ. Thank you JSmoove, time to move on from Howard and JSmoove. Please find a PG to take the ball out of Harden's hand.
