Man Raw last night had some of the most cringe worthy promos I have seen in awhile... The Terry Funk segment was amazing though, next week I hope we see the homicidal, genocidal, suicidal Sabu give Ambrose Fire. Had to be one of the worst endings to raw in years imo though... When the crowd is chanting this is boring in the Main event you know its bad.
They areb Out there they are just asking like 250 for a fifty dollar ticket so idk if I'm gonna go... Prolly just spend the money on better seats at mania.
Yeah man it sucks I have a feeling on the day of the tickets will drop a bit from the people who weren't able to sell their extra tickets... It just sucks cause I would like to know ahead of time so I can plan my trip better. All I really want to see is Shinsuke's debut and Austin Aries I have seen pretty much all the other people perform when they were in Houston last year. But Shinsuke will be electric and I want to be there so bad!!!
Same here, I booked my hotel once I saw that the only NXT tickets I could find were 300 on seatgeek/stubhub and 400+ on ebay. Even if I were to assume prices would drop, I'd have to wait for that and book an extra night in Dallas, and then stay an extra night in Dallas.
I'm planning on going up to Dallas on Friday and just try to scalp NXT tickets, don't have to worry about hotels since I have friends that live there so I'm just crashing with one of them.
Pshh, I know, Sucks having to stay in Dallas for the a few nights. Dallas is dirty, have you seen it?
Yes I did...I was very impressed. But I am wondering why if the name of the promotion is Lucha Underground, why was the previous long-reigning main champ and the Aztec Warfare winner tonight, and new champ, a super-heavyweight? When I think Lucha, I think of energy, speed, and some high-flying aerial brilliance on a weekly basis, not a champ who 90% of the roster can't realistically lift up for even a basic body slam or suplex. That kinda defeats the purpose for me.
I don't really know what to say or think about Matazna, but Mil Muertes was a really good champion (when he wrestled). His match vs Ivelisse from earlier this year was great.
Apparently HHH wants Taker/Shane to close the show and Vince wants Roman/HHH. Kind of funny when the guy in the match knows that the fans don't really care about his match lol.
Drove the crummy streets when I visited UTD and UT Arlington. Ten years later my car gets totaled. Probably not a coincidence. I don't think Raw's ended with the HHH/Roman plot since he came back.
Vince is so tone deaf to the wrassling world nowadays. We all know Roman is going to win...do you really want to end your Mania with a "face" being rained down with boos
No, NXT is the better card but Mania is still going to be very sweet. The biggest match of Ambrose's career and the WM debut of Owens, Styles, Zayn, Sasha, Becky, etc. Those responsible for helping build NXT into what it is now. WWE is planning a Jericho/Nakamura match in its return to Sumo Hall in Japan in July.
If it is Takers last match and he does lose then it should close the show otherwise the WWE title match is the bigger story moving forward and certainly they could have a swerve with Rollins or Ambrose being involved
Wait, the long-reigning main champ/protagonist of season 1 was Prince Puma, the fastest, flippiest, most aerially brilliant wrestler in the world. And as for not being able to get a big guy up for a suplex... https://youtu.be/wLuB6R5_yyg?t=10m49s Lucha is still wrestling, still staged dramatic fighting. The human race will go extinct before we decide that heroic small guy overcoming big strong evil guy is not a winning story. But even beyond that point, what does it really matter if the champ is a hulking monster? Mil Muertes had a total of 3 fights as champion? Lucha Underground does a good enough job with their undercard that they have the champion not fight for weeks on end and it never feels like anything is missing. Furthermore, they do the "3-ring circus" thing so much better than WWE, where if you don't like a particular flavor of match, there's bound to be something that you do like. So if Rey Mysterio/El Dragon Azteca Jr. (who looked freaking amazing, btw.) vs. the Cuetos doesn't stir your fancy, you've still got the trios championship, which is all about high spots, and the interspecies Dragon/Time-Traveling Rocketship/Werewolf/A*Hole flying nunchuck feud which I'm so freaking excited for. A total credit to Jack Evans in that I'm honestly not sure whether I'd rather see him splashed to death by Drago from the top of Cueto's office, or see Angelico dropkick him from some unfathomable height as he, Mundo and Taya chase the Trios championship. There's even Kobra Moon, if your favorite match of all time is Melina vs. Alicia Fox. On a different note, I find it amazing that the wrestler playing El Dragon Azteca Jr. used to be the second El Hijo de Rey Misterio; with the first El Hijo de Rey Misterio being the nephew of Rey Misterio Sr., and the cousin of Rey Mysterio Jr. Must be why that promo introducing Rey was so amazing; it's basically what happened in real life; an outsider adopting a legendary mantle after the one whom it was destined for chose his own path. Phenomenal.
I was referring to Mil Muertes, because he was the champ in Season 2 all the way until last week when he lost it to Fenix. I really like how they brought in Rey Wed. night!
