People rejoicing and wanting this guy gone are just insane. The guy has done nothing but given his all to this city and organization. If he was so terrible no team would want him but the fact is there are teams that do. Maybe not for the asking price but they wants him. Just like the Ty Lawson situation, this was definitely a situation where our inability to set a system accustomed to the players we have has bit us in the @ss. Les constantly wants us chasing big name free agents but it seems more like a maneuver to sell tickets rather than win a championship. This season has been a disaster and pathetic in so many ways.

I love Dwight. I don't think he is a bad person. I feel with him turning 30 and the money he's asking for + the decline of his game.......... it is time to move on.

I see a lot of ppl saying Al Horford. That is basically staying on a basic path, I don't consider him a game changing star.

Hassan Whiteside is Harden #2. Club Life and goofy. He will miss DJ Khaled if he leaves Miami.

The pursuit for the 2nd star will be difficult if it's not Durant.

It's not working so it's time for both parties to go their separate ways. I really wished it would have worked. But unfortunately they haven't recovered from that horrendous start to the season.

he has clearly fallen, but is not as much as it is made out to be.

the year he is in the playoffs and doesen't up his game accordingly will be the first drastic drop off in some time. may be that is this year but i have my doubts.

There isn't a scenario that would make Durant even consider Houston. Not even mauri's genius can get him to come. It would be better for the organization if mauri focuses on other players from the start instead of chasing the impossible. I think Kyrie would be a more realistic target. We'd have to settle for disgruntled stars or high-risk kids with potential.

Knowing the luck of this organization, even if they get Durant, the screws will probably fall out his foot.

if kyrie and lebron had issues with ball dominance what makes you think harden and kyrie would be any better?

I mean the both would have to be smoking the same exact indica in order for that to happen and clearly James is a sativa guy. duh.

He's just too slow to play in today's NBA, and I don't mean physically slow, he's mentally slow, he can't react to anything fast enough, he can't adjust to anything, he's pretty much useless.

let's face it, we're better off trading Harden and tanking if we don't sign Durant this off-season because we're not winning the west with SPURS and GSW getting better/remaining contenders every year. It's just how it is in the west, Big 3 or bust... or build team from good picks/homegrown players like GSW did (but Les says he NEVER wants to tank, this idea is out of the window).

Who needs Howard when you have Beasley?! Howard is too expensive, that money is better spent elsewhere! Let's sign Conley and Horford. We can be better than Golden State! Conley, Harden, Beasley, Horford, a new Big 4! And get a good X and O's coach!

Glad some of you showed some of us emotional posters some perspective. I think we should all agree that this season is just all around bad and nobody's excused. Over the 3 year span with Dwight we can also agree Dwight has not been involved as much on offense as we all would've loved to see. A lot of reasons for this, some fault on Dwight's part, but plenty on our coaches, role players and Harden.

We do not know what goes on behind closed doors, but I remember a tweet or some info about one of the early meetings and players (Harden vs. Howard) disagreed about the way to play to win. Based on what we've seen, it's clear that we have went with Harden and just accept whatever he decides on the court. When he's off, guys can just do whatever. I can imagine as a player of Dwight's caliber, you start to become frustrated. What would you do if you are expected to anchor the defense and just accept that you only get a few touches a game on offense? I bet you would not be a happy camper and it's only natural to play worse. His health, athleticism and explosiveness is fading so there's definitely a part of frustration about his own physical abilities.

I am sure if Dwight goes somewhere where he's more involved on offense and especially if he's paired with a great PG, he will thrive. That's why it makes sense for both sides to part ways. We have definitely failed Dwight and in some ways, he has failed the team so blaming one player in Harden or Dwight for this, or even just Morey, McHale & J.B. is just silly. It's on ALL OF THEM!

    Thanks for the update cyber!

I for one appreciate Dwight coming here. He proved he can still be dominate in big games but I'm guessing he is right, its time to move on.

Oh yes. Ty has been a revelation since we cut him

Sometimes the system is to blame. Sometimes the game has moved past players. Dwight cannot generate offence, so he is a less mobile version of Capela who thinks he is a first option on offence....

He is worth sub 10 mill - good luck to him finding a better deal.
